Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaI had the pleasure of staying at this delightful hostel run by an incredibly kind and generous lady. My experience was nothing short of amazing, and I’m grateful for the warm hospitality I received. The hostel itself is superbly maintained, offering a clean, cozy, and welcoming environment. Every morning, I was treated to an amazing breakfast that was both delicious and thoughtfully prepared. It was the perfect way to start each day. Despite the language barrier, the owner went above and beyond to ensure I had a fantastic stay. Her kindness and willingness to help were evident in every interaction. She made every effort to communicate and make sure I was comfortable and enjoying my time at her property. Her dedication to her guests' well-being is truly commendable, and her genuine care made a lasting impression on me. I left with wonderful memories and a deep appreciation for her hospitality. Thank you for an unforgettable stay. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting the area and look forward to returning in the future!

United KingdomNothing to be honest- if you want a luxury bathroom then this is not for you but it was very clean still and provided us with exactly what we needed!
The host family were incredibly friendly. They don't speak much English but google translate helped and they were so helpful in every way they possibly could be. They were so warm and welcoming and really made our experience a wonderful one. The breakfasts were so so good, homemade and homegrown Georgian food. You can tell they put their heart into their place and customers. It really was a special stay!

LatviaSleeping in couch was uncomfortable, but for 4 nights you can close your eyes on it.
Temuri and his wife was really friendly. Temuri can speak russian, his wife speaks some words russian, some words english, but she understands everything, so there is no problem with communication. If you want privacy, book room with separate bathroom and kitchen, we booked that kind of room and we were very satisfied. Towels and bedding were freshly washed and clean. You can order breakfast, breakfast are the same every morning (eggs, jam, bread, tomatoes, cucambers, cookies, cup cakes, hachapuri),but pluss is that you dont need to think about where to eat in the morning. You can arrange best time for you when eat breakfast. And during the day you can cook your own food or make hot tea or coffee. There is option to wash your clothes. If you want you can sit/eat outside in garden. Garden ir very nice. You can buy cha cha and home made wine from them, or order dinner or supper as Temuri wife is good cook. We felt very good and welcomed. There is no problem with arriving at night. You can ask for airport pick up and drop off, 30 GEL one way, cheaper than taxi. And if you want to see Okatse, Martvili canyon, Prometheus caves you can arrange that kind of excursion as well.

PolandIt is a great place for a person looking for a sincere Georgian experience and hospitality. The owner is a warm, helpful person. We were welcomed and shown around the place. The owner told us to feel at home, and to be honest, we did :) It is a great place to stay when you want to experience Georgia. Since Kutaisi is a travel hub, there's also an opportunity to meet other interesting people from different locations. Yet, the neighborhood is calm and peaceful, so we slept like babies :D Breakfasts are great and homemade and there was no problem with the vegetarian option. There's always some desert :D Later during the day, you can get hot water to make tea or coffee. Very conveniently located. There are two bakeries nearby, a few shops, and a pharmacy. It's also a few minutes walk from the Kolchida fountain, straight down the street, impossible to get lost. The place is very clean. The owner is very cautious about cleanliness and everything is always tidy. Overall a great place to stay if you want to feel like a guest, not like a client :) Thank you very much! Didi madloba!

United KingdomFirst of all, I was able to check-in from 7.00am. Very unusual but done specifically to accommodate passengers like me who flew the WizzAir flight that arrived at 4.30am. The hostel is in a laid back authentic neighbourhood. The landlady couldn't have been nicer and she did everything she could to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. I especially enjoyed the great breakfast she served me each morning on the terrace. Very pleasant.
