Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere was a fan in the room (since there are no windows I assume it has to be left on) - it made constant noise and was not controllable. We also could not make the room temperature go lower than 19degrees, it got a bit warm in there with 2 of us sharing. You need to be very close personally if you are sharing - the bathroom divider doesn’t give much privacy.
Amazing location, rooms were well soundproofed from traffic despite being in the middle of Piccadilly Circus. Room was clean and fresh and modern. Check in was easy on the iPad screens.

United KingdomThe corridors can feel like a warren - they could be brighter with better signposting or colour coding to make navigation that bit easier would be good. I would also like the option of a small bedside light rather than main light that is either on or off. My partner experienced awful noise disturbance when he stayed and I think the hotel should not make such a feature of being sound-proof and providing a peaceful night's sleep, if in fact noise can be such an issue. Although this wasn't my personal issue, I certainly didn't hear the end of it for several days after he came back, so it felt like my issue!!
I like this hotel, I have stayed twice now and found it very convenient, comfortable and clean in a great location for a reasonable price. I can cope with the small basic room that lacks facilities, its fine for 2 nights, even though its a bit soul-less it served me well for my needs and is a good enough base for a short trip to London. The cafe in the basement was a nice space to grab a coffee and work. I also have always found the staff friendly and helpful.

United KingdomYou can get lost easily, and it’s a little weird having no windows but it is what you are paying for. I felt the rooms could of been a little bit cleaner as dust in the corners of the floor and hair found on towels
Perfect location, I ended up getting upgraded which was great, good size rooms and bathrooms

NetherlandsThe lack of a window can at times feel a little claustrophobic. But they state this well in advance, so that shouldn't be a surprise. Beware that the vending machines in the lobby are ridiculously overpriced
A very remarkable concept! The windowless, cocoonlike rooms are very sparsely dressed, but remarkably comfortable given the price. The hotel itself is a giant maze, but at night it was quiet, and the business is efficiently run. The location couldn't be better!

United KingdomIve stayed here a few times now and its mainly a cost/location booking rather than that its a nice hotel. Its very basic and I would not recommend for families/longer stays. Rooms are essentially a box- no windows, no wardrobes its a mattress almost on the floor with a shower room. That being said its comfy, quiet and generally a good nights sleep. No rooms have drinks/coffee facilities or tv and there are minimal hooks on the wall to hang a coat. If its just somewhere to get your head down for the night and you wont be in the room much at all its ok for the price. I had issues with the lighting not turning off and the sink tap kept sticking however maintenance did come to check lighting very quickly when I reported. The bed frame also needed a good vacuum down the corners.
Location is brilliant, very close to soho + picadilly circus. The hotel is modern and reasonably priced for the location

United KingdomI agree with others that the bathroom is a little too intimate with its only just opaque glass wall/door. We have been together for 20 years but don't really want to watch each other have a poo in the morning. It's not cheap but nowhere in London is. No glasses in the room for water etc.
The location is what it's all about. Walking distance from Euston, Soho, Mayfair and anywhere else you really want to be. The room was clean and, probably because we were on the 5th floor on a Monday night, really quiet. I also loved that it was pitch black with the lights off. The bed was comfortable too. If you're in London, you really aren't going to spend much time in the hotel room as there is so much to see and do. It's an ideal space to sleep and felt more like a hotel than some of the hostels we have stayed in. Oh and the security is really good too.

LuxembourgI was in this hotel a few years ago, and I noticed that it is not as clean as before. Also, although I am completely aware of the fact that it is supposed to be a minimalistic room, last time we had a very small night table next to the bed and this time there was nothing besides a bed. No toilet brush either. However, none of these two things impacted our stay in a significant way and I would still recommend it.
Absolutely great location, good beds, and a rarely quiet place for sleeping when it comes to London (well, apparently providing that you are on the 3rd floor and above. Otherwise, you could hear the base from a club just nearby). The location and the absence of noise are absolutely worth the lack of windows.

United KingdomBed too soft and uncomfortable - horrible bad back in morning. Stuffy room. Shower light switch (my fault as didn't spot it) stayed on all night. The button being in the mirror. Gym is extra and a separate business to the hotel. Shower gel was empty. Spoke to customer service about it and they sent a generic email offering me 10% my next visit. Never going to happen - never going back but I'm sure it'd suit some people. The customer service response just annoyed me more.

United KingdomNo tea or coffee facilities. It would have been nice to be able to get a cup of tea in the morning even if it was from the lobby downstairs. Although there were bottles of shower gel in the shower it was empty which wasn't great.
Location was perfect as I needed someone in central London to stay overnight. In terms of price it was value for money compared to some of the other hotel nearby. The hotel is basic and the rooms don't have windows, but if you just need a bed for the night then this is ideal. I did worry slightly as had read some reviews about the rooms not being very clean, but it was fine. There is some music noise that comes from the bar downstairs (I was on the 1st floor) but this stopped by the time I went to bed.

GermanyThe windowless room made me feel claustrophobic the first night but I got used to it. Separation between room and bathroom made of frosted glass, so no way to turn on the light without disturbing your partner. While shower gel & shampoo are provided, anything else like hairdryer or tea maker and also space for your suitcase and clothing, a table/chairs are missing.
The location! You simply cannot stay anywhere more central. It’s completely new with perfect and very modern facilities, incredibly friendly staff, 7 huge lifts (so no queues), great lobby and easy check-in. Absolutely perfect way to sleep in silence and complete darkness and very comfy bed, a real luxury!
