Unexpected it’s a student room but for the price can’t moan.

I think it was just the area. Which is nothing to do with the property. It’s just not my scene, a lot of young rude people. I know you get this everywhere but it stood out here

Had all the facilities you needed, beds were clean I know this might be obvious but I’ve stayed in places before where I’ve had to get the sheets changed.

There were only three pillows and one towel for the two of us. The "free parking" is just street parking outside, which is permit only after 9 am. We couldn't find the hairdryer, and when we texted the owner, there was no reply.

The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and warm.

No bedside lights, only the main light which was very bright. Quite expensive in relation to facilities and the location. Room very basic

No hot water for the shower, shower leaking everywhere. Not very clean floors,. Room doors looks like anyone could just get in with one kick. All night someone was walking up and down and you can hear everything. Floor is creaking. I wouldn't stay there again. Bed not comfy at all. No one emailed me with key code before I arrived. So I was a bit panicy when I arrived at 11pm and that ring door bell didn't work and no one was replying on booking messenger

A few more hooks on doors/walls for clothes/towels would have been useful.

In a bit of a run-down area, but a very short (5-10 mins) walk along a main road into the city centre - where my meetings were and plenty of cafes/restaurants etc. Room and facilities were clean and tidy.

The room looked out onto a main road which was noisy in the morning, as were the 2 guests in the room next to mine, who woke me up at 5am talking loudly and closing doors noisily.

There was no breakfast included in the booking. The property where my room was situated is in an area that seemed quite run down, but the inside of the building was quite welcoming. The staff I met seemed friendly and helpful.

The vibe was quite janky. Nothing seems built quite right, for example the doors don't quite fit their frames. The showers kept falling off the wall. Slightly dirty

The room was missing a few things that would have made the stay much more comfortable. We only had one small towel for 2 people. No mirror in the room. Thin paper blinds on the windows which did nothing to keep the light out - some decent curtains would go a long way. Also it was not clear on the listing that it's a shared bathroom and kitchen - no toiletries provided either as it says on the listing.

Bed was comfortable, room itself was clean, great location for getting into Hanley. It was good value but be aware it's not a hotel, more like a hostel with private rooms.

Key code sent was incorrect. Can’t see why correct code plus WiFi password weren’t included in the email we were sent by owner. His listed phone number is incorrect so we, as others have also done, sought assistance from the friendly shop worker. Despite what is stated on the listing the room does not have a private entrance and the on site parking is simply on local and crowded residential streets. Plus no mention that there are no private bathroom facilities. A pity because otherwise this is an affordable and decent place to stay
