Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaUpon arrival we were given a room where the air con was not working. Immediately the manager checked it and relocated us to a better room. He also offered us complimentary breakfasts to compensate having to repack and move. This manager was outstanding he went above and beyond right to us leaving the property. We checked out and stored our bags until early evening, so when I mean us leaving it was after we collected our bags. This manager is such an asset to the Z Hotel, I say this after travelling through the UK and Scotland for the last five weeks. Ps. He also makes amazing coffee!

DenmarkSomehow the air con/ventilator in the room make constant sound. Not sure if it’s just my room or I didn’t set it up right. I just stayed one night so didn’t bother to try to get it fixed. There’s minor stain on the sheet.
The location is great! Good value for money. Staffs are friendly. Check in and out process very easy. Even though I booked a room without a window, I was given one with. So that was a positive surprise.

United KingdomRooms were slightly small however it didn’t affect us as we didn’t spend a huge amount of time there. Due to having no windows, it does get a bit stuffy but we just left the door open while in the rooms sometimes to get some air and it was fine.
The location was amazing, super easy to get into central as it’s surrounded by various undergrounds. Room was very clean and comfortable and staff were good at refreshing rooms if needed. Air con/ heating was amazing, worked really well.

AustraliaFor those requiring accessibility (which wasn’t us) there were some additional stairs after the lift took you to a level.
Nice but simple, we booked a room with a window and when we arrived the window was misted and looking at another building. Fortunately my husband spoke to the manager who was very response and showed us two other rooms with windows and allowed us room choose. The second room was very nice with bright windows for the day and shut out blinds for night.
