Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe've just returned from a simply magical three night stay in one of the most breathtaking places imaginable. Our Yurt was nestled in woodland, next to two small lakes, on the top of a mountain, where the only sound you could hear was the birds in the trees, and neighbouring animals in the fields surrounding us. Our host, Fran, who was extremely warm and welcoming, and Diego, the four legged bundle of joy, greeted us on arrival and showed us to our Yurt, making sure we had everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The outdoor kitchen was well stocked with all you could ask for, the shower was hot, with all natural cosmetics provided, and the log burner gave that added warmth and comfort for the evenings. Perfect for warming our bones back up after a quick swim in the lake. Thanks, Fran. We will certainly be making the trip over again soon, hopefully for one of the retreats.

United KingdomWhilst appreciating and supporting the ethos of the ecological experience, the lack of WiFi made it impossible to communicate with friends and family. We feel WiFi is vital to be added to this beautiful area. Small issue, Eco fire lighters should be used, not chemical. First night sleepless due to Co 2 monitor bleeping all first night due to new battery needed. Nic changed it the next day. The gas hob wasn't working well, both rings only worked at half power so cooking took a very long time!! Cigarette lighter not good enough for lighting log burner and hob, needs a safer long eco candle lighter. Log burner seal needed replacing as logs were burning too quickly. More lighting needed in all rooms and a maiden for drying towels in front of the log burner etc. The Kitchen area needs to be made water tight as all our food and outdoor shoes were saturated with the torrential rain! We visited the house a few times with questions, only met Nic once. Would have preferred if Fran had knocked on our door to ask if all was okay. Tried messaging her but as had no signal it was difficult to communicate. A value for money addition would be a hot tub fired by a log burner.
It was very clean. The Bed was comfortable. Lots of extra blankets and lovely authentic yurt colours. Log burner was good. Loved the eco shower & loo cleaning products. The Shower was powerful and hot. Ponds and woodland idyllic. Lovely relaxing outdoor area around the yurt, the fire pit and outdoor eating area would have been perfect if it had been dry. Even though the rain was torrential we were dry inside the yurt.

United KingdomI didn't like having to leave.
Stunning location with a lovely back to nature feel. Very quiet with the yurts spaced well so that you feel like you have the place to yourselves. Fran and Nick we're so friendly and welcoming. Diego the dog is wonderfully entertaining and great for cuddles as are his little cat friends. They will pop around to make sure you're happy and for a little fuss. Basically a great place to stay.

United KingdomThe steep hill and our heavy car didn’t quite get on!
…..and relax!😌It was a beautiful and tranquil start to our holiday! After a long drive we arrived and immediately wished we’d booked for 2 nights! We booked it as a stop over en route to our holiday. Such a beautiful location, the yurt was immaculate and Fran couldn’t have been more helpful. The kids loved exploring the woodland and it was such a great adventure playground for them! We all slept so well! This place is very special, what they are building here is great! Can’t recommend this place enough!

United KingdomThe toilet isn't connected to the yurt (understandably because the smell would be awful). It is a compost toilet, that smells a bit like overcooked shrimp. It was a simple shed with no lock for the door - the shower didn't have a lock either. More hooks for clothes and a towel would be appreciated. The yurt inside smelled a bit stale because there was a bad circulation of air and the only light sources are the doors and the sky window at the top of the yurt, as well as a dim decor light running along the inside. It's a bit bright in the morning.
The location is very calming. There are two or three ponds that look over the mountain. When you peer over, it seems that you are staring at the edge of the world because the trees cover the hill underneath on the other side. Very relaxing. There are lots of funny statues on the main path. To get the yurt we lived in, you went up some small wooden steps that crossed a stream. The beds were very comfortable, and you could make your fire in a fire pan outdoors. When it got dark, this was a great source of warmth. The shower was next to the house outside, and it was gas-powered, meaning the warm water came very fast. Three cats are adorable and very friendly. The black cat is so cute! He likes to sit around and accompany you. The black and white cat is very clever and sits underneath the fire pan at night for a cosy time. The striped cat and the black and white ones are a bit shyer. :)

United KingdomThe composting toilet is an eye opener! A little air freshener would help when the weather is warm 😜
The facilities were well thought out with lovely little added homely touches such as the mirror, and little twinkly lights. We felt we had everything we needed for our stay. We loved watching the sun set over the mountains and then waking up to the fresh forest smell from the rainfall overnight. The owners were helpful and we felt that they got to know us as opposed to us being ‘left to it’!

United KingdomThat we had to go home. We could happily have stayed a few weeks rather than just the few days we had booked.
Yurtopia is an exceptional place to visit. It's a magical escape from the worries and stress of everyday life. The owners Fran and Nick have worked hard to create this little haven nestled in the Welsh Hills. They are exceptional hosts, keen to make all feel welcome and valued and ensure needs and expectations are met. I went solo with my three children aged 6, 9 and 12. They all loved the experience from start to finish. The Yurts are well appointed with a proper king sized bed, comfortable mattress and lovely bedding. There is also a single bed with a pullout trundle. Lots of blankets to spare if needed, although we were toasty warm with the wood burner. The entrance to the Yurt leads off into a very well appointed open air kitchen, with gas camp oven and hobs, kettle, sink and a full compliment of cooking tools. Each Yurt has its own outhouse shower with hot running water and a separate composting toilet (yes it does have a seat, and no it doesn't smell). Shampoo, conditioner and soaps provided in line with eco credentials. There are chickens to feed scraps to. A couple of beautiful, big dogs to make a fuss of, who will hang out with you around the evening campfires and greet you with a wag in the morning (if you are scared of dogs this probably isn't the plane for you), patrol the site. Everything is safe and enclosed enabling children to wake and explore the beautiful pathways, views and hidden fairy gardens independently while parents relax. There are large ponds with jetties so those with very young children would need to be mindful of this.

United KingdomThe only thing i didn't like is the sound each morning of cats going through your yurt kitchen bins and any thing left on the side had to take everything in the yurt at night so maybe a good idea to get a wooden door for each kitchen just to keep the little gits out but otherwise perfect
Wow what an amazing place, the staff fran and nick we're amazing very friendly, diago the dog was the nicest dog you could meet he just came and sat round the fire with us lovely big daft strong boy,the yurt we stayed in was the raven lovely an tidy and clean beds were very comfortable the site is so peaceful and you feel at one with nature no phone signal at all which made it even better would definitely recommend to anyone thinking off coming great family break.
