Cannot think of a single issue to dislike.

The Inn was excellent in all respects. Staff were friendly and efficient. The place is well looked after with lovely pictures hung on the walls. Room was clean and comfortable with neat little ensuite. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was very good. The homemade ginger biscuits were very nice indeed. Location was ideal for our peak district break. Would definitely use the Inn again.

We are an older couple and we would appreciate one or two hand rails in the bathroom - that’s all. Everything else was top top!

Very good poached eggs and very good scrambled eggs! Good breakfast selection - there was plenty to choose from and portions were good!

In this area, hotels tend to be slightly over priced and in short supply so you are restricted in choice.

Dinner was hearty and a reasonable price, the staff being Northerners were extremely friendly. The hotel had charm and an atmosphere of comfort. The room was very cosy. I dont usually use that word being a guy..but there is no other word. Staff made me an on the spot staff lunch next morning for free as I was too early for breakfast. Class.

The room was spacious and warm, radiators can be individually changed to suit your personal preference which i thought was a really good idea. Plenty of hot water, ready for a bath after a long hike. Breakfast was plenty too, we had a Full English which had a piece of everything. The breakfast menu has a good selection for all requirements. Local produce used too. Good selection of ales in the pub, personal preference of the Farmers Blonde, lovely drop. Varied menu for eating at any time of the day.

The morning staff serving breakfast were a little moody with specific staff member saying she was too busy to fill a water bottle up at that specific time when there was 3 tables for breakfast.

The property was in a fantastic location and the bedroom was was immaculate. Really helpful staff who allowed me to put food in a fridge. They were very accommodating with my specific food choices and adjusted the meals as I asked.

If I had one comment, which is being picky, it’s that the cleaner(s) were hoovering the bar area each morning while guests were still having breakfast which made it a bit noisy. Perhaps that could have waited until breakfast finished.

The staff were excellent - really polite and professional, especially the restaurant team. Breakfast was superb each morning and we had an evening meal both evenings which was also really good. Menu was ideal for us, plenty of choice, and all freshly cooked. Fair to say the food was a highlight. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Finally, parking was plentiful.

The location was great next to beautiful Lady bower reservoir, Win hill and Bamford edge. Exceptionally clean, comfortable with great food and an amazing breakfast. The staff were just so friendly and couldn’t make us feel any more welcome. Would defiantly return 👍🏼

The shower didn't seem to want to work properly however it served its purpose nonetheless. Apart from that I had no complaints

I can recommend the steak & kidney pie and chips. Quality ingredients and home made. It was very well received. For breakfast there is the usual choice of cereals and fruit and yoghurts etc and teas, coffee and fruit juice. The full English breakfast was well prepared and set me up for a days walking. The bar prices are on a par with what I would expect to pay and there was a good choice of beers on tap. Very friendly atmosphere and never felt out of place. The bar itself was very clean and tidy and the staff couldn't do more to make you feel at home. If I was to be up this way again it would be my first choice to stay at.
