Nice views over the races course and easy parking

We like it very much very good for going to races or shopping being couple of older folks they are helpful

The hotel has a swimming pool but it is quite small for the size of the hotel. The Delta was very busy but it is a family hotel next to a major British tourist attraction, It is not a place to stay for a romantic or quiet weekend but does not claim to be either. You have to pay for parking.

The Delta is a large hotel overlooking York racecourse. It is conveniently placed on the main road into the city which is easy to reach via bus or taxi. It has nice gardens that go downhill almost to the racecourse itself. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It served out our purpose as a place to stay for a couple of nights while attending an event in York.

A few reviews mentioned that they couldn’t get the air conditioning to work, me either, however, two fans were supplied in the room.

The staff couldn’t have been anymore polite or attentive. The facilities and amenities were excellent - pool, spa, gym as well as a hairdryer, iron and fans included in the room. Perfect location for anybody who has a hot air balloon booked - literally backs onto the racecourse, an hourly bus stop just outside or less than £10 in an Uber into the city.

Drunk guests coming into the hotel late at night and making a lot of noise. The horse racing was on that weekend, so a lot of drunk chavs in the town and some in the hotel.

Location, was good and had a direct bus into City centre, from just across the road. Breakfast was excellent, lots to choose from. Room was large and comfortable. The pool, spa was really good too. Every member of staff I encountered was really good. Excellent customer service.

What I didn't like was the bottle of prosecco I had with my evening meal was Tesco's own brand in Tesco's its £4.99 per bottle, but when I asked for my bill they had charged a eye watering £36.00 Yes £36.00 and it wasn't a mistake, certainly didn't make that mistake again the night after

The pool needs a bit of maintenance (some mossy patches!) but nice nonetheless. The hotel spreads over a large area so has some very long corridors to get to your room that wouldn’t be great with reduced mobility.

Very large, comfortable rooms, with nice garden views; looking out over the horse racetrack in the distance. A short drive from the city centre (or a 40 minute walk) with a few pubs and a National Trust garden nearby. The pool and sauna were a nice way to start the day!

Ran out of ice on a Saturday night! The bar staff told us they have three ice machines that all pack up when the temperature picks up. The room was so hot and the Aircon ineffective, I am guessing it wasn't turned on centrally. The breakfast was very good but the bar food and restaurant offering is expensive and average, it's the same menu and charges £20 for a bar pizza! There are pubs just across the road for food. Small things that are easily rectified but wouldn't stop me booking again.

Good location with nice facilities and helpful and welcoming staff. Nice size room and well equipped.

The breakfast was OK 👍 I am gluten intolerant and the chef was very helpful, even cooking me some gf sausages. Would have liked more choice of gf desserts. The orange drizzle cake was delicious though .

The price on a Saturday night was nearly double what it is in the week which is a bit frustrating.

I paid for accommodation by card on arrival. Within one minute I received both e-mail and text to advise that an attempt to take a second substantial sum had also been made which my bank had suspended until and unless I agreed it was acceptable. I did not recognise the sum specified so the charge was rejected and I feared that I was being scammed. I asked for an explanation how this additional charge could have occurred and was informed that there had been problems with the computer. This is not an acceptable answer and therefore does not fill me with confidence.

Great location with easy access to regular buses to and from city centre so car left parked throughout stay. Ample food choices for breakfast though the cooked items tended to be dried out unless breakfast taken early. However a request for freshly cooked food was met without censure. Bar area gave long term access to freshly cooked food for snacks. Staffing here and in main restaurant attentive, friendly and helpful.

The room was very old with squiky floors. There was no AC and one of the windows wouldn’t open, the other one was blocked and opened for like 3 sm only so it was really hot inside. The shower also need refurbishment. Overall the stay was okay, but we wouldn’t return

Nothing to say about what I didn’t like . One small point is that the hairdryer didn’t work in the room

Enjoyed all of our stay. Staff wonderful . Room well cleaned and comfortable . Main menu poor for choice of food but what we had was very tasty and well presented and served.
