Tables and seating area could have been cleaned better in between guests.. our table was set with the cutlery but was still dirty .. as was quite a few others.

Poor communication between Booking.com and hotel - wrong room type offered - no information about pre-payment - no information about DB&B food option - all eventually resolved but very frustrating.

The room/ bathroom seemed to be a bit dated. The bathroom requires maintenance as the mirrors had rusted at the edges, and there was a large crack in the sink. The shower was not the easiest appliance to operate and the water did not drain down the plug hole. The TV also kept on displaying weak connection signal.

The leisure facilities available provided a lovely addition to our break away. The staff were great and very helpful. The location of the hotel was in walling distance from York City centre. The king-sized bed was comfortable and a good addition to the room.

I can’t speak for every room but ours 318 could do with a bit of moderation and had a vey squeaky floor which must’ve annoyed residents below.

Cold water locations for sauna pool area very poor. Breakfast expensive compared to other's available. Larger area for sauna/pool area. Room good, other than flush on toilet room 152 not flushing properly, we told reception on 1st day ,but no maintenance came.

Location good. Pleasently surprised by facilities, just could be a little more in a larger area. Staff good in all areas. Good spacious room, good sleep.

The steam room and some of the pool areas were dated and worn which was slightly off putting. Our family room had no view (room 920) which was a bit of a shame. The food at the bar was also really expensive.

Staff were friendly. Family room was spacious. The children loved the pool and it was nice to have a smaller pool for them.

The room next to ours was very loud at night constant arguing shouting and furniture being moved plus doors slamming till 3am sat and sun morning as a consequence I could not have the patio door open and even with the fan on I struggled to sleep much . On our departure day we came down to breakfast at 10.29 thinking it was on till 11 only only to be met by the lady on the desk trying to usher us through quickly as her staff we’re tidying away . We declined breakfast and she did apologise for her actions

The room was nice and clean we had a great view from the balcony to the race course. Room service was efficient

That their was no cold AC in the room. It was really worm and had to open the window to cool the room down. The hotel was out of ICE.

The location was very acsessable. The room was very big. Breakfast had a wide variety to choose from. The ataff allowed me to put my ice pack into the freezer as I had milk for my baby that i did not want to go bad.

There isn't much to say about what went wrong as the hotel is run seamlessly, so i will mention a few personal preferences. The dinner menu did not have a lot of choice for me, it requires a refresh of more simple basic foods(Chicken covered in Cornflakes) although seen this on TV not a good look for a Marriot. the other is the decking from the bar at the back was freshly painted and I went down a step without noticing. when painting steps do the step edge a different colour it is a fire escape route

Stayed in this hotel several time as its location is perfect and the facilities available are superb, as always the staff cannot do enough to make your stay a pleasant and easy as possible. Breakfast is plentiful with a great selection of either full cooked or continental.

The pool was smaller than it looks in the picture and quite busy, the jacuzzi could do with a clean on the bottom

The room was lovely and bathroom nice and big, the bed was also comfortable.. The staff were very friendly and the food was lovely. They put balloons and a piece of cake in the room as we were staying for my friends 50th which was a lovely thought.

The hotel has a swimming pool but it is quite small for the size of the hotel. The Delta was very busy but it is a family hotel next to a major British tourist attraction, It is not a place to stay for a romantic or quiet weekend but does not claim to be either. You have to pay for parking.

The Delta is a large hotel overlooking York racecourse. It is conveniently placed on the main road into the city which is easy to reach via bus or taxi. It has nice gardens that go downhill almost to the racecourse itself. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It served out our purpose as a place to stay for a couple of nights while attending an event in York.

A few reviews mentioned that they couldn’t get the air conditioning to work, me either, however, two fans were supplied in the room.

The staff couldn’t have been anymore polite or attentive. The facilities and amenities were excellent - pool, spa, gym as well as a hairdryer, iron and fans included in the room. Perfect location for anybody who has a hot air balloon booked - literally backs onto the racecourse, an hourly bus stop just outside or less than £10 in an Uber into the city.

Drunk guests coming into the hotel late at night and making a lot of noise. The horse racing was on that weekend, so a lot of drunk chavs in the town and some in the hotel.

Location, was good and had a direct bus into City centre, from just across the road. Breakfast was excellent, lots to choose from. Room was large and comfortable. The pool, spa was really good too. Every member of staff I encountered was really good. Excellent customer service.

What I didn't like was the bottle of prosecco I had with my evening meal was Tesco's own brand in Tesco's its £4.99 per bottle, but when I asked for my bill they had charged a eye watering £36.00 Yes £36.00 and it wasn't a mistake, certainly didn't make that mistake again the night after

I enjoy the location the race course is at the bottom of the hotel garden
