Second time staying here, James was good, I got checked in by 2.30am because was on a late flight and was aloud to check out at 11am bless him. Happy this hostel is always having night staff on and is flexible and understanding. Good comfortable beds and very central and close to bars and the station. Wifi, all that you need. Always staying at this hostel when in bristol

The shared bathroom on the 4th floor was clean but could do with updating. Only 2 showers and 2 toilets on the floor. Neighbouring rooms were unfortunately noisy but this isn't the fault of the YHA. The lounge area could also be more welcoming. Prices were standard cafe prices and not what I'd exoect at a YHA.

Location was excellent. Better than expected. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The kitchen had good facilities. Staff were helpful. Entertainment on the Thursday night. Beautiful building from the exterior and the cafe and mezzanine are well appointed.

The shelves in the luggage room looked like they were about to collapse at any minute. Neither could I lock my little locker where I left my personal belongings in the locker room. The WiFi didn’t work. The staff had messed up my booking somehow: I had booked a room for one, but they placed me in a room with 4 beds. Luckily, I still got to have my “private room.

The location was great, within walking distance of all the places I wanted to visit in one day. The staff gave me some recommendations for places to eat breakfast.

Breakfast could have more options , however the hostel provide a kitchen so guests can use to make your all meals .

The last floor wasn't accessible by elevator. This was a little difficult, as we travelled with suitcases. But it wasn't too hard to overcome.

The location was wonderful and the rooms were exactly as described. We came in quite late and they were lovely about it. We were also able to leave luggage. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were really pleasant.

Skylight windows were a pain in the morning. Room was very hot - not air flow as windows were on the ceiling.

There was no space in the shower to keep your clothes dry. Also, 40 pounds is expensive for a dorm room bed

No free tea and coffee but pay for in cafe, no kitchen although I don’t need one, the first room I stayed in stank and the hallway and carpet although looked clean but I really don’t mind, I’m not a snob. It’s fine. No complaints It’s a dos hostel. It’s groovy. It’s a roof and bed. It’s nice Budget option

Mattress was a bit worn, but I put a jumper underneath it to compensate the dip, so I slept well.

Location, atmosphere, well equipped kitchen. Everything is clean, including the kitchen, people seem to respect the communal areas a lot.

Somewhat run down. My guess is that the Covid pandemic hit hard and they are struggling to catch up with maintenance. They could do more for not much cash.
