A beautiful apartment set in lovely grounds. The apartment is nicely decorated, spacious, comfortable, clean and has everything you need. It was perfect for walking to the racecourse, where I was working, and walking distance from town with its brewery, pubs and restaurants. It is quiet too. The owners were communicative and helpful.

If I have to be really picky, the mirror in the bedroom was a little far from plug sockets to dry hair but honestly it wasn’t too big a problem. ☺️

Absolutely everything was perfect, the owners had thought of everything too, right down to the complimentary items in the fridge, so thoughtful and homely.

We loved our stay at Woodleighton Cottages. The owners kindly upgraded our stay from The Hayloft to The Grooms. Check in was easy and we were greeted with an array of thoughtful extras, such as bread, milk, biscuits, croissants, wine, beer and chocolates, as well as ample supplies of tea, coffee and other kitchen essentials - all very much appreciated. The owners have not skimped on anything. The accommodation is finished and furnished to a high standard with the luxury touches of a hotel (bathrobes, toiletries, flowers in the room) but the convenience and comfort of home. The bed is extra large and comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the underfloor heating keeps the place cosy. The setting is peaceful in well maintained gardens, yet within easy walking distance of the town. The hosts were very helpful and provided useful information and recommendations of places to eat. It was good to have on site parking too. A perfect stay - would highly recommend!

Odd humming noise from locked cupboard in bedroom - was a bit worried this would prevent us sleeping but fortunately it stopped at some point during the evening.

Lovely clean cottage, bed very comfortable, great facilities, lots of little "extras". We specifically choose this cottage as we wanted a kitchen area.

What's not to like! Definetly a 5* property. The snow the morning after got us on the Christmas spirit. The kids absolutely loved staying here. Great value for money, very private and such a beautiful setting. Will definitely return. Clean, plenty of amenities and the added touch of children's books and games, there's nothing that hasn't been thought of.

I can't fault the place at all. The only minor issue we had was that there was no hot water in the shower at night. Not a deal breaker though.

Just a little bit cosy for a family of 4 and the stairs were a bit slippy for young children.

We absolutely loved our stay at Woodleighton Cottages. Before we had even arrived, Rachel the owner had left us really clear instructions on how to get there, the local restaurants that were worth visiting & what times we could check in/ out. Her emails/texts were clear and concise & when we arrived, we were touched to find complimentary wine, chocolates water & hot drinks waiting for us in the cottage just as promised in her communication. After a long day at Alton Towers in the pouring rain, it would be fair to say that the luxury of this sweet cottage with underfloor heating & hot chocolate really soothed the soul of these two weary travellers/thrill seekers. Our cottage, the coach house, was lovely. Clean & homely with everything you could want for a short break - well appointed & a huge comfy bed. But its really Rachel, the owner, who sets this property apart. Clear communication with fantastic pre and post stay advice & tips.... what can I say? Customer service they way it should always be done. Myself and my husband will definitely look to return one day - thank you for a great stay

The only downside, and it certainly didn't affect me, is that there is a steep and windy staircase to negotiate inside the property. For me, it added to the charm.

Fantastic cottage in an idyllic location. Kitchen facilities were perfect. It just feels such a comfortable place to be.
