We had a wonderful stay in Winterton, the location is tranquil and picturesque, the accommodation was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The host were wonderful, friendly and accommodating, and provided great recommendations of what to explore in the area. The home cooked breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with many options to choose from. Would highly recommend!

Stephanie & Adrian were excellent hosts, the breakfast was amazing and nothing was to much trouble. Our room was fantastic 5☆+ quality and the location is perfect for exploring the surrounding area. Their knowledge and recommendations of where to visit was exceptional and enhanced by their own enthusiasm for this beautiful part of the World. We will definitely return here in the future.

Nestled in a hill you’ll find Winterton with its attentive owners, Adrian and Stephanie. They go above and beyond to make sure you are enjoying your stay and recommend walks & highlights to see in the area. Sitting in the glass fronted lounge was amazing and the breakfasts and dinners that were prepared for us were amazing with local ingredients. Our room was roomy and comfortable. We would definitely come back!

On night two, we were joined by guests in the room directly above us. The noise between rooms was noticeable and we could hear them moving around constantly while upstairs from us. Although we really only used the B&B as a base in the evenings, so this didn’t bother us too much at all. It certainly didn’t put a dampener on our weekend and is to be expected in a traditionally renovated old building. We were woken one morning by a guest accidentally trying to get into our room, discreet signage on the doors in the hallway may help avoid this in the future.

The property was incredible, secluded in a picturesque landscape. The B&B itself is decorated and furnished to extremely high standards and excellent quality linens and products are provided. It is homely and comfortable, which allowed us to truly switch off and relax. Food was divine, cooked from scratch by Stephanie with local ingredients. Delicious! Stephanie and Adrian were fantastic hosts, always available and made our stay feel personal and we feel very lucky to have met them! Adrian helped us plan an adventure for the day and I have no doubt our experience would have been much less enjoyable had they not been our hosts.

Nothing not to like! Beyond perfection

Adrian and Stephanie were so genuinely passionate about making us feel at home, like old friends. This is such a haven of peace and comfort, combined with care and love for everything that makes Winterton uniquely what it is. Adrian ran to open the gate as we arrived just after dark and was there to close it as we left, 2 days later! In between arriving and departing Adrian and Stephanie ensured we were discretely looked after. Stephanie's cooking is outstanding, breakfast (lots of choice) and dinner cooked to perfection, we don't eat out very often as we are very hard to please, but, oh boy, if you stay here please do have dinner, with carefully chosen wines. Lots of lovely chats with many things in common and Adrian was keen to help us with local points of interest. We had a choice of woolen duvet tog, tell me where else gives you that?! Everything has been carefully considered and chosen well from the design of the bedroom and bathroom, toiletries, living and dining areas. The design and construction/refurbishment inside and out of Winterton is exceptional, with a huge amount of work and dedication over the years and we are very fortunate that Adrian and Stephanie are happy to share! They absolutely love hosting guests!

A beautiful comfortable stylish modern conversion accommodates the guests in a traditional stone-built cottage set in remote breath-taking scenery. All the facilities we could want were provided to a very high standard with thoughtful touches like real coffee and good tea and biscuits in the room, fresh cold milk and a good shower with big fluffy towels. There was a dedicated guest sitting room and dining room with a conservatory enjoying stunning views. Our hosts were friendly and attentive and provided fantastic food (both cooked and continental breakfasts were fresh and delicious as was the 3 course home cooked dinner we requested as an extra the night we arrived) A very comprehensive information brochure was provided on line beforehand which was extremely useful.Many thanks to Adrian and Stephanie for a n all too brief stay that exceeded our expectations.
