Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe property, as cheap as it was, was really disappointing, and whilst we didn't stay in there for long, due to the F1, we wouldn't want to stay any longer than we did. The property is on a busy road in the middle of the town (which shows signs of being quite a deprived town) and when you first enter the property you are entered with the horrible smell of cigarettes (very strong smell!). The property downstairs was passable, however when we went upstairs we noticed that the door to the single room was jammed shut (even though we had paid for the whole property) and we had to practically tear it open. The bathroom was okay, toilet seat kept falling off which isn't great and the shower head falls down because the water pressure is too strong for it but you could cope. However, the real problems came in the bedroom with two single beds. We sat on these and the beds were the most uncomfortable beds you have ever slept on, so much so that we ended up taking the duvet and pillows down and sleeping on the sofa (which is rock hard) as this was still 10 times more comfortable than the beds upstairs. Additionally, we noticed there was signs through out the property of damage. There was a broken glass frame and a missing one on the porch door and the back door could have been broken in to with the lightest of kicks. Overall, if you are just booking this place to sleep then you might be okay but if you're looking for somewhere to stay for a while (e.g. a week) then avoid.... unless you enjoy the feeling off sleeping in what resembles a crack den!
We stayed at this property for the Formula One Grand Prix at Silverstone so we were happy with the distance to the circuit given the price we paid to stay here, compared to the prices other people charge within a similar distance - however, we now understand why we paid so little as the pictures were extremely miss-leading!
