Everything was clean and beautifully presented. It was so cosy and warm and had tonnes of character. The most idyllic countryside and perfect location. We will definitely be back!

Would have loved a mirror!

The barn was comfortable and clean. Beautiful outdoors seating at the end of a busy sightseeing day. Alice and George were very welcoming hosts. All perfect!

When booking through booking.com my confirmation was for Widewath barn which confirmed bed and separate sofa bed which from photos of barn indicated seperate sofa bed area.We found out that we had booked a separate unit with different name and with one bed.This problem was sorted by owner by placing separate single bed in main bedroom which was not ideal for myself and son.Owner was very helpful in minimising the awkward situation we encountered.and iI think this situation should not arise and process of booking would benefit more clarity.

We had an exceptional stay, ideal for everything within the area. We even got a lift from the host to Kendal Calling. It was perfect for this event!

The converted barn was located on a family farm in a quiet area but with easy access out and walking trails nearby. Communications with our host was good and we were provided with very detailed instructions on finding the farm. The apartment was well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend for a trip to the Lakes District or just a quiet stay. The wifi was good.

It was quiet and quaint but with all the home comforts needed. The owner was friendly and made us feel very welcome. Amazing views, comfortable beds, hot shower,kitchen with all necessities, a little reading nook.

Nothing! It's truly a wonderful stay. You do need a car to get around.

The place is located in a secluded location with farmlands in the surrounding area, very quiet and peaceful. Alice and George were friendly hosts with good advice of the nearby attractions to visit. You get a great view over Ullswater approx. 45 min hike away.

Gorgeous apartment in a lovely part of the Lakes. Staff were exceptionally welcoming and couldn't have done more. Facilities were clean and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

The property is a good size for two people who need somewhere to stay of a few nights. The rooms are modern, tidy and comfortably warm with a parking space out front. There are numerous places to eat and the property is within easy travel to Keswick and Penrith. Off the beaten track so peaceful, plus local footpaths.

The TV was small and not a smart TV.

Widewath Barn is a lovely spacious cottage with a well equipped kitchen. It is in a very quiet but convenient location. All the places we visited were no more than 20 minutes drive away. Alice and George were great hosts.

We had originally booked it for three of us thinking it looked like there were three different rooms (by the pictures). One of our friends couldn’t come so there were two of us in the end which was probably good as the beds are all in one room.

The cleanliness of the property was phenomenal. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming and thoughtful. It was such a cute little farm and we enjoyed the sheep, rams and doggies 🐑 🐏 🐶

Everything was perfect

Start to finish just the best experience! The hosts are great and couldn’t be more accommodating! The barn is fabulous and has just enough space for everyone whilst still being cosy. Great location with views that are out of this world. Just enough out of the way to enjoy while still being local villages near by
