good choice for my needs. clean & close to the beachside & town centre facilities.

The stairway to the rooms is old fashioned steep & corridors are 'one person at a time' narrow.

This was a basic room. For me is was adequate & very good value for money. Breakfast was well cooked. The bathroom space was immense. Parking facilities more than adequate. i would certainly stay their again if i was visiting the area.

Room 3 was scruffy. Didn't know they made TVs that small these days. Tap in bathroom sink was hanging off. Shower leaked onto bathroom floor.

Central location was ideal, free parking. Restaurant food was very nice. Very pleasant waitress.

The room was above the kitchen area, wasn't a problem until the fridges/freezers were overrunning, and had a horrible drone with the occasional belt squealing. Breakfast felt like an inconvenience.

Location was perfect, which is why I booked here. The bedroom was clean.

The smaller touches. No plug in the sink in bathroom. The eating area in the bar was somewhat spartan, not really welcoming at all. Staff were not attentive I.e asking if we enjoyed the breakfast.mNo marmalade or jam on offer. If you’re in room 6 as I was , it overlooks the beer courtyard at the rear. Even after 11.00 there was the low sound of voices

Breakfast was adequate. However no choice of milk- many people don’t like fulll cream in tea. Beds were comfortable and shower decent

adequate for what I used it for

pillows on bed are terrible, all the doors squeak like hell and require oiling, and they also bang shut. The shower needs a proper bleaching as it smells musty. Breakfast bar - not enough milk, no marmalade, a family of 6 came down and there were not enough mugs for coffee. Basic breakfast needs to improve. The fry-up was ok but doesn't need seasoning all over it, thats down to individual preference. £105 for bed and breakfast booked 4 months in advance for a 1 bed was a little steep.

adequate for what I used the single room for, a place to kip after seeing a gig at a pub. Basic amenities were there, great location between the station and shops/sea.

Unfortunately, the Restaurant was not open for at least another week. Hot tap on sink in bathroom moved when turned on. Towels were a little thin.

The breakfasts were extremely good, excellent choice of produce and very well cooked. Hotel and room was very clean and staff friendly and helpful. Short distance from seafront and shops. Parking on site.

Worn towels and not so clean carpet.

Bar very attractive and nice to have a drink in with friendly staff. Rooms ok, travel lodge standard. Towels clean but worn and carpet could do with a clean. No TV remote in room. Food great! But need to ensure that orange juice, water etc is readily available. Great for a budget place to stay, good parking and easy walk to town. Would stay again.

The pub was no longer running, i.e. no bar or lunch or dinners (as shown on the website) and the place felt very unloved - the dining area was not tidied or cleaned. Our room overlooked a busy road, not the garden as described.

The cooked breakfast was good. The room was comfortable and clean

Staff. The patio area was a mess. There wasn’t an extended time for breakfast, I was told 9am, I said it was too late for me so was told 8.30, I did not have breakfast. My room over looked the patio and I heard staff/workmen swearing. Doors were constantly banging.

The room was clean generally. On arrival the reception from the staff member was not good. I waited a while to be seen. It appeared at first I wasn’t expected. Payment was required more or less as soon as I arrived.

Information said check-in 2 pm . We arrived just after 2 but room was not ready. At Breakfast on our first morning Coffee cold and some items on the full English breakfast were cold. We had to ask for butter for the toast. Only one member of staff cooking and serving with no sign of the manager who had booked us in or any other staff at Breakfast time.A very disappointing stay and would not recommend.

Close to town centre shops and restaurants.

The room and bedding smelt foisty. The duvet was very thin and unfortunately the weather had turned cold, could have done with a blanket. No glass in bathroom for toothbrushes. No top up of milk for drinks. No bulb in one bedside table (we mentioned this but nothing was done). Towels very thin and hard but at the end of the day you get what you pay for.

The breakfast was full on, two of everything. Would have been better to have had a choice rather than have so much delivered by a very nice waitress who seemed to be on her own. It could also have been hotter.

The breakfast was disappointing. Not only was it very slow service, there was no choice offered. There really was way too much food piled onto the plates when they came from the kitchen - and including some items I'd rather not have had. I did ask the server to take off the bacon and sausages, as I'm vegetarian, but much better would have been to ask what we wanted as part of the cooked breakfast. No doing this unfortunately leads to a lot of waste. I'd advise anyone staying here to speak up and let the waiter know what you want for breakfast - as you likely won't be asked!

The location was great, although as it is situated on a main road, it was rather noisy from the traffic. The rooms we booked were of a good size and, as the single room I had booked was already taken, I was given a double instead, which was very nice. There were a couple of issues with the rooms (toilet seat and missing batteries!) but these were dealt with immediately and with a smile. The owner was friendly and helpful.

had to ask for glasses for cold drinks in room. only 4 coffee sachets and three milk sachets.

Breakfast mayhem. Went to dinning area no staff to be seen. 3 tables were set with room numbers on.(ours was no 3 ) and 2 other couples were sat at their tables. Our table had one glass of orange on and one plate with 3 half slices of toast on. eventually a staff member arrived and said breakfast would be out soon. We all said how do you know what we want, he said we all having full English. Witch was Not wat we all wanted. Two people just wanted scrambled egg on toast. eventually breakfasts arrived. We all got full English breakfasts. Which was not what wife and other lade wanted. they took both away and returned them with scrambled egg added.it all was a very oily nasty looking. But the only staff member said he was on his own and trying to do his best.(but he had absolutely no chance of doing it all on his own, which we all understood. Sad to say).so we had only one glass of orange and three half slices of toast for the two of us. Later a lady staff member arrived and asked for another tea an black coffee. When it arrived told they had no more cups so wife had to reuse her cup and teapot had no visible sign of a tea bag in it only coloured the contents from dregs of previous use. so results very poor but memorable for the wrong reasons. Shame definite shortage of staff..

Tea bags loose in the draw. Separate bags would be good. Towels were only hand towels, bigger would be nice. Blood or something on the bathroom woodwork. Morning breakfast server was nice and friendly. Bar staff need some training on customer service.
