The hotel and grounds are wonderful. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant. The quality was really good and tasted great. The breakfast was also great. They accommodate for allergies and intolerances.

Warm welcome from the staff of this lovely hotel that has great views of the countryside. If you play golf there's the added bonus of a round of golf included in the stay (though I think you may have to have a golf handicap) The inclusive breakfast was excellent. I'd happily stay there again.

Lack of a shower, a hand held shower head over a bath is not ideal for the "fuller figured" gentleman. Coffee cups hadn't been cleaned very well (not a huge problem, just gave them a wash myself)

It's a nice countryside location, the rooms we have had have been lovely and we have been here a few times already. We enjoyed the breakfast they do here(my partner likes the extra black pudding :D) and the coffee is good, you get all the essentials in the room, coffee, tea and some cookies and a bottle of water each.

With hotel virtually empty, would've appreciated room with a view. Beds, whilst comfortable, didn't feel too stable!

The room we stayed in could do with some maintenance, theres a loose shelf in the bathroom. Ceiling needs dusting, quite a few cobwebs and under the bed needs hoovering. There was no shower, only a handheld one attached to the bath tap and the water pressure wasn't the best either. My son is almost 6 feet tall and combined with the slopped ceiling made it difficult for him to shower properly. The hotel itself needs some tlc, few cobwebs here and there and some maintenance bits and bobs that could do with being addressed.

The location is beautiful, nice and peaceful. Food was wonderful, we ate an evening meal and had breakfast for 2 days. All well cooked and presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A comfy room, big enough for the two of us for 2 nights.

There isn't much options for the breackfast, they have an Full english breakfast included in price and only other option is cereals. I think breakfast menu can be improved.

Had dinner in the restaurant and was very delicious. The room was really clean and smelled nice. We were only there for one night, but would have definitely stayed more if needed to. Staff was friendly, also.

After a long ferry trip this place was very welcoming the staff was amazing and even left the kitchen open later for us to eat the food was amazing would recommend cod and chips the room was very big and comfortable the place was extremely clean and very close to Alton towers the dining area was cute and the decor was really nice the best thing about this place was definitely the staff they were so sweet and when out of there way for us

The property was in a lovely scenic location. It was light and airy. It was very clean and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. The food and service was excellent.

The only thing I was surprised about (especially given as clean and homely everything else was) the coffee mugs in my room had not been cleaned - they appeared to be swished around with water and placed back. There was still coffee from the previous guest left inside. I believe this was not the norm as everything else was perfect - just mentioning so the staff can be extra vigilant in future. I'd forgotten about it until now as I don't have hot drinks so it wasn't a major concern to me.

Beautiful room and gorgeous surroundings! Ideally placed for our trip to Splash Landings. Breakfast was scrummy and the staff were absolutely fantastic 😊 So welcoming especially the first lady that greeted us - such a lovely manner and smile. I would absolutely return and recommend!!

A very nice old manor house type hotel with great staff and wonderful views. Dinner and breakfasts were both very good and the offer of a free round of golf with every stay a delight for sports fans.
