Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Shower pressure was wonderful and strong and plenty of warmth. Great view from window. I stayed on the 3rd floor and enjoyed the view. Receptionist was lovely and friendly

The property was convenient for 2 underground stations, easy access to Paddington Station and very convenient for our visit to the National History Museum, excellent choice of restaurants nearby. Everything we needed in the room which was clean, quiet at night, we slept well and checkout was at 11am.

RomaniaThe hotel is very close to Earl's Court tube station. Even though the room is small it works well if you plan to visit during the day and return to the hotel during the evening. It is also clean and the room is cleaned daily. I recommend it for short stays in London.

NetherlandsIt’s generally difficult to find a decent hotel with a reasonable price in London. Overall, the room was good and clean. The small size of the room wasn’t a significant issue since I spent most of my outside the hotel. However, the smell of sewage from the sink drain was disturbing for me. Despite this, I was so relieved to have found a safe and pleasant place with friendly staff that I chose not to mention it to the receptionist. But I guess of this problem is solved, guests can enjoy even more!
The staff at Westbury Hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. After a harrowing experience at a previous hotel where an intruder broke in at midnight, I was left shaken and afraid. Seeking refuge, I arrived at Westbury early in the morning, hoping to leave my luggage there and escape the nightmare. The receptionist went above and beyond, accommodating an early check-in and ensuring me with a warm welcome. The support I received during this traumatic time will always be remembered. Cleanness: overall it was clean.

The only reason I didnt give 10 for comfort is we had chosen a tiny double room without much space around the bed but it exceeded our expectations generally and we'll be using the hotel again.

United KingdomDouble room a bit small. Ok for me on my own but a couple might prefer a larger room for a longer stay. Bed could have been a bit more comfortable but that's just personal preference.
Very fast and friendly check in. Clean room, everything worked. Nice shower with plenty of hot water. Close to Earls Court and Gloucester Road underground, and convenient for the Royal Albert Hall. My second stay here.
