Great location easy to find near to town centre. Room was very comfortable and had access to a lounge area with a stunning view of the mountains. Breakfast was delicious. Host was lovely and very welcoming.

Lovely friendly welcome on arrival. Room was very nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and good quality furniture and furnishings. We had one full English breakfast and one pancakes with fresh fruit, maple syrup and cream ..... both were delicious, and really good quality ingredients. We will definitely stay again if in the area.

When we stayed parking was a little tricky due to a nearby road closure. HOWEVER, the main town car park is literally a minute walk away so no great issues.

A little niggle was breakfast times 8-9am. Not a major problem. Parking can be a problem. We were lucky to find a spot on the street outside.

Nothing. Just sad we were too knackered to get up got breakfast but that was our fault. All good other than that.

It had a lovely view and a homely feel. Heather seems like a wonderful person and has a positive and lovely energy as a host. She made us feel comfortable in our stay and we were happy there were little to no disturbances ☺️

The location was excellent, a few minutes walk to the lake and town. The view was amazing. The breakfast was great and very filling you could have anything you wanted. We were made very welcome, nothing was too trouble, we couldn’t have wished for better hosts, such a lovely, friendly and welcoming family

Perfection at its best! My wife and I stayed the weekend to attend a wedding and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Our room at the West view was spotless, good size, lovely view, good shower, very comfy bed and we had an excellent breakfast to top off! The owners Heather and Craig are lovely. Truly wonderful stay at this charming B&B. Enjoyed fresh, made to order breakfast each morning. Our room was very comfortable and offered lots of amenities - coffee & tea in room, hair dryer, iron, plenty of charging ports. The bathroom had clearly been remodeled recently! Very comfortable beds. It’s in a great location a short walk to Hope Park and the lake. Lots of families around and stops for ice cream or a baked good. Easy parking as well. Thank you to our lovely hosts for such a wonderful stay!

Heather and Craig were fantastic hosts, very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were really clean, spacious and had everything you would expect for an enjoyable break away. The Guest house is perfectly situated for a short walk to Derwent Water or into town. We really enjoyed our time at West View and look forwards to visiting again.

Shower could be a bit stronger, but wouldn't stop me from booking this hotel again

Location was fantastic, just next to the tunnel to get to the centre, the main car park, lakeside AND the hope park cafe that does ice cream PLUS a great view from the top bedroom... Great for a weekend getaway!! Craig was very friendly and accommodating. Bed very comfy.

Bank holiday parking was difficult as to be expected.

Nothing with fault of the bed and breakfast or the hosts but parking could be a little tricky. There is a large car park a 2/3 minute walk away which is a pay and display. We did manage to park near to the bed and breakfast within a time restricted area and could adjust our needs as required but just something to know prior to booking.

The overall facilities at the bed and breakfast were amazing. Rooms were a decent size for a couple with a wardrobe and en suite bathroom. As well as a chair, double bed and room for cases. I do think this would be a struggle for more than 2 people (I do believe there is different sized rooms available if required) The hosts Heather and Craig were brilliant and assisted us with ANY needs we had including recommendations, help with taxi services (we were attending a wedding nearby) as well as supplying any essentials we had forgot to pack for our stay. The property was IMMACULATE! So clean and not a speck of dust or dirt in sight.

The property was traditional on the outside but looked as though it had recently been refurbished on the inside, clean and beautifully decorated. It was comfortable, clean and homely

I misunderstood the original booking so when we arrived the host informed me we were on a room only basis. However we were offered a full English breakfast for £10 per head which we accepted. The following morning my husband paid the host £20 cash.

The host was helpful and pleasant. The bedroom was basic but adequate. There was a separate visitor's lounge upstairs which we found very useful.
