First issued with room 54 which although it had a loch view was not up to the standard we had booked, was then moved to room 34 which was excellent

Superior room had an extra large king size which was two singles together - that was ok but the quilt was only a king size so didn’t go all the way over the bed

The down side was that of all the rooms we had ( ten rooms for 5 days ) of these two were Superior twin rooms in what they call the Annex. There is nothing superior about them in all honesty. They were Cold, They were Damp and the Walls are so thin that you can hear people in the next room go to the toilet. And it was like a building site with painting going on, The heaters were not working at times causing condensation on the windows inside. And over 5 days it was not nice. I did raise the issue and said they these were not £200+ per night rooms. Had we been for just one night then not too bad, but 5 days. Two of my party had to return home a day early so i gave the hotel back those rooms to which they hired out and hoped for some kind of compensation for the two annex rooms, to date despite my emails i have met with silence. We spent just less than £9000 on rooms and lots of money in Bar and Food and the feedback on our complaint was poor.

My group ( 17 of us ) and I thought the Hotel was overall good. We stayed for 5 days and The Staff were excellent and did everything possible to make our stay good. The Bar and meal Staff were especially good. The decor is nice, the breakfast were spot on and plentiful. All the rooms were of a good standard with no complaints apart from the two superior twins ( see below )

Not a problem at all for me, but be aware this is an older building and not all rooms are reachable from a lift (I assume there is one but I didn't look for it) without using at least some stairs.

Comfortable room with contemporary fittings. My room had a single bed but it was very generously-proportioned, I would say about 50% wider than singles I have been used to. Loved the menu choice in the restaurant with a nice mix of western and eastern food. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location at the south end of the main street with shops, restaurants etc. close by. A moderate but level walk (or short taxi ride) from the railway/bus station.

Room next to lift so quite noisy. Bathroom was very dark. Not all the fruit served at breakfast was fresh, some tinned mandarins etc.

Room was nice and had lovely view so could watch cruise liner departing. Within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants.

The room was quite small and our double bed did not have a bedside table on one side.

The staff were wonderful, especially Rose Ann, so friendly. The food was very good and the bed was really comfortable.

Our room overlooked the service pipes at the back of building. The walls were thin so you could hear people walking and talking in the corridor. At breakfast, the jams were in large jars with a spoon for everyone to handle and self serve. Not very hygienic. Would be better to put single portions into small dish to take to table.

Good location. Close to walk up the high street. Staff very friendly. There was a lift although it was tiny. Free parking. Room looked fairly updated and had no carpet. Complimentary sparkling and still waters, crisps and biscuits.

Room was a single room, so was a bit smaller, but certainly did the job well enough. Hotel itself is a little older. Good overall location, nice and close to the main shopping and dining areas of Fort William. Staff were lovely.
