Delightful breakfast, thoughtful, hot, personal, pressed coffee... all delicious. Wonderful, classic part of town, the West End, that's walkable to just about everything. Here you're staying in a beautifully restored, Georgian townhouse from the 1700s, complete with antiques. Certainly the topper of our 2 weeks. Thank you Carol and George 🧡

WE enjoyed our stay at the West End Townhouse very much. Perfect location near the sights, restaurants and transport. Our room was lovely, bathroom nice and clean and the bed very comfortable. The breakfasts were great and we chose different cooked breakfasts each day. Lovely view from the breakfast room. The host Carol was very welcoming and friendly.

Am not able to put our finger on anything we didnt like. Be aware that there is no elevator in the building though.

A place to book if you want the little extra for your stay in Edinburgh. The service you get is above and beond and Carol is the sweetest host. The room we got (she only has three) was spacious and with the most beautiful wiev.

An amazing house, my room was beautiful. The bed was amazing and I had a lovely sleep. Breakfast was delicious and so much choice including full on scottish porridge available (cream, honey, whisky not that i had it because i was working). Carole was an amazing host.

This townhome was absolutely perfect in everyway. The decor is stunning and so well done. Carole, our host, was amazing and gave us such great recommendations on places to go and things to see. She was so kind and had great stories to tell. We loved our morning breakfasts overlooking gorgeous gardens and also loved having access to a few sweet treats at night. If we ever go back to Edinburgh, we would absolutely stay here.

Carol is a lovely host! The property was a good walking distance from everything we needed. The favorite part of our visit was meeting Carol and enjoying a wonderful breakfast each morning. We highly recommend the porridge! If we ever get back to Edinburgh, we will certainly book again!

The West End location was so clean and quiet with beautiful architecture and history. Our hostess Carole was so gracious and helpful. She made sure we had all our individual needs met including my special dietary restriction. She even packed a sack breakfast for us to go on our early checkout morning. In our short time we felt like we had become friends, even family. The views of the gardens and green space and beyond from our bedroom were gorgeous. The place so quiet and lovely remodeled. We had an amazing view of the water of leith walkway from the spacious Deluxe King room. The hotel is in a beautifully restored townhouse close to some of the main streets of Edinburgh. Carole was an excellent, friendly, and informative host, and she made us feel at like we were at home our whole stay. We had plenty of breakfast options every morning and Carole herself would make something extra each day. The location is pretty central (only few minutes walk from one of the ends of Princes St), but still distant enough from the bustle to be perfectly quiet in the evening.

West End Townhouse is a unique experience. You enjoy the intimacy, warmth and privacy of a B&B on the level of a 5-star hotel. Perfectly situated to explore Edinburgh, looked after by Carole more like a friend than a landlady, elegant and comfortable rooms, stunning views … It was the perfect start for our Scotland trip.

4 Randolf Ciff is close to the city center, very easily accessible by public transport, but the old town can also be easily reached by pleasant walks. Spacious, comfortable room, beautiful view of the city. Carole and her daughter are very kind and attentive hosts. All our wishes were fulfilled.

Nothing - we loved everything.

We had a wonderful stay in the West End Townhouse! The location is just perfect, everything is within walking distance. The owners keep the charm and character of the residence, but everything is functional, and we had a very nice, modern bathroom. Our spacious room had a wonderful view overlooking beautiful gardens and the firth of forth, and it was absolutely quiet. A fantastic breakfast is served in the beautiful kitchen overlooking the garden and the green valley. The host family is very friendly, and takes great care to ensure that guests feel welcome.

Beautiful spot, with gorgeous decorations and extremely comfortable rooms. My parents stayed here for three nights at the start of their tour around Scotland and loved every moment of their stay. Both Carol and her daughter Ruth looked after them very well. The grandeur of the building is matched only by the incredible views out over Edinburgh!
