Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Switzerlandi just didn't like that i could hear the trucks unloading garbage, stones and glass or whatever that was, the sound was extremely loud and would always wake me up around 5AM till like 9AM... you can also kinda hear the cars and people in the street. and i also think that is too expensive.
the place is really nice and with a lot of plants and the fact that it's in front of the beach it's a bonus, the staff was also friendly and helpful. i didn't have breakfast but from what i've seen it looked good.

GermanyThe regular price is a bit high given it's only a shared 4 bed dorm room with no breakfast included. It's okay when it's on sale though if you book in advance :)
This was my second stay at Selina, great as always. The location can't really get any better and the service is great - I did ask for a few extras and all were made possible right away. My go to place to stay in Brighton whenever I travel by myself. Preston Street, where it's located at has some of the best restaurants in town as well.

I didn't have breakfast. I tend to prefer a full English. The location was perfect near to shops and coastline. The hotel was clean and offered fresh coffee most of the time as well as tea and fresh water.

United KingdomThe Hall light bulb had gone as you stepped into the bedroom. Had to fumble about when we came in at night and couldn't see our way around the room. Hotel front door was open after midnight on one night. Nobody at Reception. Didn't feel the building was secure as anyone could walk in off the street.
