All great, nothing to dislike apart from having to leave.

What a wonderful find, Wagtail was just what we needed after a fraught few months. Cottage is really well equipped and spotlessly clean. Lovely comfy bed and sofa to relax in. The walled garden was such a bonus as we were blessed with fabulous weather. Hosts were really helpful but not intrusive. Oscar the dog is a complete sweetheart. Gorgeous setting with a large pond and summer house. We loved it so much we stayed for 2 extra nights.

The wifi wasn't working for our stay. The host tried to sort it and offered us an alternative. Also the shower needed explaining as it wasn't obvious how to get it hot. Once he explained how to use it, it was fine

The property was bigger than expected. The upstairs room was very generous in size and had a nice desk. Downstairs the sofa was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you would need. Nice and warm too

Getting hot water to the shower was an issue, we had to settle for Luke warm showers which wasn’t ideal when we needed warming up during the winter. We didn’t want to pester the owners with such a small matter though.

Loved this beautiful little cottage, it was very cozy and beautifully furnished!!

There was no WC and no sink upstairs near the bedroom.

It was nice, comfortable and clean, a bit off the beaten track, but this was fine for the few days we stayed there.

Quirky accommodation upstairs meant limited headroom and some lumps on the head. Bathroom was nice but with a tiny washbasin. Could have provided some teabags, coffee sachets and milk pods - an industry norm these days, and as suggested by previous guests, noted in the visitors book.

Friendly and helpful host, good location for visiting Oulton Park. Very nice outlook and garden. Comfy bed (once you are in it). Tidy and modern interior and a super comfy sofa.

The lack of a dishwasher, but as only staying a few days, it wasn't an issue really. I may have missed them, but some initial directions prior to arrival would have been useful.

If I could I would give this place zero stars because the expectations raised by the beautiful photos on the booking site are totally misleading. The area is beautiful. I rented this accommodatiin because of the photos if the vista, but unfortunately, once in the accommodation, there are no views as the accommodation is in a small walled area & the only view from the lounge is of a couple of privet bushes & a big green corrugated iron building. I have seen better views in London in social housing. The bedroom is upstairs & on 2 levels. The roof is very low & sloping, so getting out of the bed can mean bumping once head, especially in the middle of the night. Then, there is a big step to get up to the level to go downstairs. Also, there is only one small skylight & a small window in the bedroom, so no views at all. Do not be fooled by the beautiful panoramic views posted on the site. I like to get up early & sit with a cup of tea & watch the world go by, something that one can definitely not do in this accommodation.

    Decent shower
