Evening Meals weren't available at the time. The Bathroom shower in the room we were in wasn't clean by the shower glass panel. The bed wasn't very comfy as it was a hard mattress and we had been walking a lot so our backs were hurting.

The Staff were amazing with their help and polite. The Hotel toilets were clean and accessible. The food in the restaurant was amazing and delicious. The drinks in the bar were exceptional.

Clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. The young girl at reception gave us a drinks voucher and sent Prosecco and a card to the room as we had mentioned it was our anniversary. Really made us enjoy the stay from the beginning.

Liked everything, location was good, it's very nicely decorated and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The room was very spacious with good amenities. Breakfast was great with good food options and good service. I appreciated that they have a later checkout time of midday and are happy to store luggage which was helpful.

This is an old building but the window in the room always had condensation on it and black mould round all frames. Electrics in the room were strange in that you could not use the bedside lights without the main light staying on.

Steps leading up into the hotel were problematic for wheelchair users. Bathroom dean was blocked and kept flooding the bathroom floor, despite a couple of requests to have it unblocked.

I ordered two separate beds. The hotel itself chose one double room for us. As a result, we were given a room in the basement, where there was constant noise. It was hard to sleep.

A little way from Princes Street (20 minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley) and is at the top of a bank so can see this being an issue if you have suitcases/large bags. However, there are lots of taxis that are only £5 to anywhere in the centre

Reception staff could do with some customer service training. The girl on arrival was excellent, the other not so. Also the girl working on breakfast (the one with all the hair really needs to have it tied up and covered, especially when working in the kitchen. Nice selection of breakfast items although the scrambled egg had a powdered tasted to it like it hadn’t been mixed properly. The two chaps working in the breakfast room never stopped and were very pleasant although kept putting clean cutlery down by holding the top (eating part) of the spoon/knife/forks. Hotel was 10 mins walk from the city centre, but added to the enjoyed of walking around the city.

Nice room, good shower, good views across the city. The barman was helpful. Rooms cleaned to a good standard and housekeeping staff very pleasant.

Up the top of a very large steep hill and I can’t remember seeing anything of note to this on booking but it could have been that I missed it. I have arthritis of knees and bad asthma so I really struggled to get up hill

Love soft beds, nice products in bathroom and not lots of waste with mini bottles. Breakfast was good. Had a great nights sleep. Beds were so cosy.
