We are used to this and it doesn’t detract from our stays but just for new visitors to be aware the beach the room overlooks is a dog beach so there are always dogs barking from early in the morning so have a good pair of earplugs if the noise of dogs bothers you!

This was my and my daughter’s 3rd stay with Val and Roger and as always they looked after us amazingly - it is such a home from home with everything you would need for a short stay. The location is perfect with restaurants close by and only a short walk over the hill into Paignton. The bed is super comfy, the views are incredible, and the private gate to the beach is so handy. We love staying here and will be back as long as they’ll have us!

What a little gem of a place! You will not be disappointed. It was the loveliest room with the most amazing view. Val and Roger were the perfect hosts. The room exceeded our expectations. They have literally thought of everything. The bed is super comfy and every day the towels and breakfast basket are replenished. It’s in a great location with easy access to the buses/trains/boat rides. Will definitely be returning!

Having to leave lol

When we arrived we had a lovely welcome from Val and Roger, Val showed us around our room and told us if we needed anything just give her a shout.The room is lovely and immaculate,we had everything there that you would need . There's a little fridge in the room which has bottled water , orange juice and fresh milk ,fresh milk was a lovely touch because everywhere we have stayed previously it's always uht milk which isn't very nice .Val also does a little breakfast basket which is lovely because it is an extra that she does not have to do , it has cereal bars ,Pan au chocolate and some cereal .The view is absolutely stunning from the room .It's a ten minute walk to Paignton beach walking along the cliffside path which is stunning .Val is very knowledgeable about the local area if you are unsure of the area . I did see reviews before where people were saying you are in a room in someone's house but don't be put off by this because as you enter the front door your room is directly opposite,we literally didn't see our hosts but knew they were there if we needed them .Thank you for a lovely stay ,you can see you guys truly love what you do .

Absolutely Fantastic Stay at Vista Room with Sea View. Val and Roger were great and really looked after us during our stay. The Room was lovely and exceeded our expectations. The view from the room was fantastic and we enjoyed sitting at open window looking out at the sea, beach, park and Brixham. Val provided a breakfast basket of cereal, cereal bars and pain au chocolate. Fresh everyday alongside fresh milk, orange juice and water. Room was cleaned to high standard everyday. Bathroom was perfect and shower was brilliant. Shower Gel provided as well. Free Parking a big bonus. Gate in corner of Car Park leads straight onto beach and park. Great location right by Roundham Head and Goodrington Beach. All in all a great holiday and we'll definitely be back. A big pat on the back to Val (And Roger). Lovely Couple

The room was lovely with an amazing view. Location was perfect for us. The breakfast in a basket was also a good idea. Having my own parking space was also a bonus.

Totally relaxing stay with amazing panoramic view, we loved the sliding window and it felt like a balcony room. The accommodation is immaculate and spacious with lots of special touches including usb ports either side of the bed. Val and Roger, our hosts, are lovely people and really care about their guests comfort, you can tell Val has put her heart into making the room special. The bed is extremely comfy and we slept really well. Great shower in the bathroom en-suite. There’s a ceiling fan and individual fans either side of the bed although it was not needed as we slept with the window open. The mini fridge is stocked with water, milk & orange juice daily and the the breakfast basket is a nice touch. So glad we found this exceptional place and we will be coming back.

The only thing I would mention was no blackout blinds, so it was very light but not really a big problem

Everything was perfect

You get exactly what you see in the picture, beautiful views, clean and super comfy bed .. the addition off a cooler in the room that gets stocked daily with orange juice water and milk is excellent and the table was perfect for our breakfast.. the hosts were informative, professional and very friendly. We have We will 100% be re visiting , we were even lucky enough to see a pod off dolphins on our first morning from our window .

The only drawback is the fact the beach in front of the property is a dedicated dog beach so if the windows are open early in the morning the dogs barking on the beach or in the park is a bit noisy. No negatives to the property or hosting though - we loved every minute.

Perfect location with incredible sea view from the large picture patio windows. A real home from home with everything you need provided by the lovely hosts Val and Roger. With private entry to the beach from the bottom of the car park which has a dedicated parking space for the room. It is a room in the home of the hosts so has a lovely warm and welcoming feel to it, and they can’t do enough for their guests - servicing the room every day and providing a breakfast basket for a DIY breakfast in your own time, but leaving you to enjoy your stay in peace unless you need anything. The location is great with shops and restaurants all within walking distance.

Great views overlooking Goodrington Sands, comfortable cosy room and the host Val who was absolutely wonderful, she was very knowledgeable of the area and provided us with a mini continental breakfast each morning.

Val was friendly and welcoming on our arrival, when we saw her as we were going out or returning and on the day of leaving. Room was lovely and clean, bed was probably one of the best we have slept in while away, breakfast supplied was plenty for us, a great view and ideally situated for the areas that we wanted to visit.

there was nothing to dislike,we liked everything about our accomadation ,our hosts and the area.

we liked everything about the accomodation,val and roger are lovely, the perfect hosts,the room was really comfy and clean,a beautiful view,overlooking goodrington beach,there is a brewers fayre restaurant nearby also the cantina pub,quaywest splashpark and a childrens park all within walking distance,paignton harbour and town is a short walk away and roundham which has beautiful views overlooking the sea,also the accomodation has private parking which is a bonus,we never used car all the time we were there,also there was a little fridge in our room which val refreshed every morning with milk water fruitjuice yoghurts and also there was cereals and breakfast bars,tea coffee etc,

We was made to feel welcome the minute val opened the door to us ,the room was spacious and clean the view was amazing. Val was so nice and always made sure we was comfortable and had everything we needed but also left us to get on with our holiday ,breakfast basket was so nice and replaced fresh everyday ,because there was only us staying there it was so quiet no other guest coming in and out slaming doors at all times of day and night which we usually get at hotels .thank you val and Rodger for making us feel so welcome in your home

The one thing I would say was a bit of an issue was the hill that forms part of the drive way to their parking space. It made me a bit nervous to drive down and then back up again when we went out the next day as it has a tight left hand turn from the main road and then a tight right hand turn, with only a little mirror to see if anything is coming up the hill. It is a bit sketchy but you get used to it after a couple of times going up and down it. So this isn't a complaint by any means, it is more just to warn others, like Val does to be fair to her, that the drive way is a bit tight and steep, so take it slowly and you'll be fine.

The location was stunning. Every morning waking up to that beautiful view of the sea has made me want to live by the coast some time in the future for sure. The couple who owned the place we stayed in were lovely. In Val and Roger we could not of asked for better people to be around while on holiday. Their home was clean, tidy, easily accessible with safe off road parking, and it had that gorgeous view of the sea as mentioned before. Val did everything she could to make our stay a comfortable and interesting one. She gave us a breakfast basket and fresh milk, with OJ and bottled water every morning, and tea/coffee was always available in our room as well.

The drive in can be a little tricky at times, with it being quite steep and narrow, but other than that, nothing!

Loved it all - the hosts, the location, the view, the sound of the ocean, and even the little breakfast hamper. Val and Roger clearly care about their guests and their holiday experiences, and it really did just feel like a home away from home. It seems attention to every little detail has been made - usb ports at practically every point of the room, breakfast hamper and towels replenished every day without question, plentiful storage space and mini fridge with water and juice. Val was also very considerate of me being vegan and offered me various alternatives of her usual hamper essentials. The bed was delightful - not too hard and not too soft - and dressed with quality bedding. The room was clean and spacious and also remained lovely and cool with the help of the ceiling fan right above the bed, which we thoroughly enjoyed during our night's sleep. There are multiple lovely beaches and towns to visit nearby and are all easily accessible with the bus station only a few minutes walk away, if desired. This was our first holiday as a couple and we could not be happier with the experience we have had here. So, big thank you to Val and Roger. Hope to see you again!

The room we had was so lovely & comfortable & spotlessly clean, the view we had looking over goodrington sea front was exceptional couldn't have asked for a better view Val the host was very friendly & made you feel welcomed & with the extra little things in your room from tea & coffee & breakfast bites which we didn't expect was a nice thought Would definitely return so thank you Val x

The hills haha but it's hilly there anyway.

Clean and comfortable. we had replenished items of snacks daily cornflakes/juice. View was lovely. Owners very attentive nothing was too much trouble. If you need anything it was just ask..
