Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaThe furniture in the room could use some reinforcement - the desk and the closet were almost literally falling apart, so I avoided setting anything there. The doors were all quite squeaky, so owing to the thin dry walls, you could disturb the other guests just by going opening the door to the toilet for example. Fortunately, the other guests were quiet and not easily disturbed, so no conflicts arose.
Despite being on a busy street, there was little to no noise coming from the outside in. The check-in was very simple and worked instantly. The room was comfortable enough and had a small AC unit, as well as a fan and a TV. The place is very close to the Woolwich DLR and Elizabeth Line stations, which makes it very easy to get into the city centre.

United KingdomThe stairs were precarious and I had to edge down them when descending. The thin walls: I was nearest the toilets and showers so could hear everyone's ablutions. Room got hot easily, which is understandable as I was on the top floor, although you can open the window. However, I don't advise switching on the air conditioner as it sounds like a plane landing!
Access to the kitchen to cook meals. Easy access to the toilet and shower. Access to YouTube and some of the streaming services. Location was good, as it was in the centre of everything. Quiet, most of the time. Very accommodating landlord who was there every other day, cleaning.

United KingdomFurniture was a bit rickity. Matress was hard. One of the showers appeared to be in a cupboard - claustrophobes would not be able to use it.
Host was fantastic. Great communication and very attentive. Location was brilliant. Handy for the tube and on a pedestrianised high street. Place was clean and tidy.

IrelandThe Outside Door Entrance Security Lock Numbers were Very Small and Very Hard to See as it was very Dark and Unlit at Nighttime to get back in , You would need a Torch or Light from Mobile Phone to Shine on the very Small numbers and Sometimes the Security Code Numbers you put in does not Work , Could do with Bigger Numbers to See and also To have Better Lighting there at Nighttime as the Shutters are half pulled down in the Hallway Entrance in off the Street to Shop Downstairs. No 24 hour staff to help like a Hotel. Also the TV did not work in my room after several attempts and Complaints to the Staff, It was more for internet users than basic TV Channels.
The Location was very Good and Nearby to all Shops , Pubs and Restaurants. Poundland was next Door, McDonald's opposite, Pubs Elephant And Castle, The Ordanance Arms and Wetherspoons Great Harry and Tesos all Nearby .

United KingdomWalls are a little thin! I could hear almost everything my neighbouring rooms were doing (coughing and other things...). Hand soap was running low at the shared sink. Lots of people's toothbrushes left up there?
Great location near station and lots of places to eat, clean and functional shared kitchen and bathroom facilities, no problems with access and easy to find. Everything I needed for a short business trip and enough privacy.

United KingdomNoisy all day, night and early morning but that comes with the central location. Room is up 2 flights of stairs so be prepared. The toilet and showers are small and the one sink available is a small vanity outside the 2 toilets, too small to wash in. The shower with the mixer tap has 2 temperatures freezing and boiling. The tiling works in the toilets, putting them out of order for hours, was an inconvenience but was communicated to all. Won't be back.
Clean, basic room, central with a reasonable price. Good communication from host.

HungaryIt is on a high street, so cars are not a problem but there were people every night shouting on the street and opposite a McDonald's, so these were noisy and woke me up every night. Otherwise window was very tiny, not easy to air the room in hot weather. They started renovating the toilets, so they closed one that caused some inconvenience.
The location is great, close to Elisabeth line (Liverpool Str. only 24 mins incl. walking) and DLR. Very simple accommodation with shared bathroom. I needed it to sleep on the five days when I was there and for this, it was perfect, it is on a high street, there are all sorts of shops, pubs, restaurants.

This place is spotlessly clean The lady in charge is very helpful and knowledgeable about trains, cabs etc in the local area. Virtue House is in a busy street with everything you need, shops, fast food, pharmacies etc only a few doors away. It is very convenient for Woolwich Arsenal train station for trains to central London. A great place in a great area It is also very reasonably priced compared to hotels

United KingdomI used this property for work, being only 10 mins walk away it was perfect, however there are public travel links even closer to get onto the DLR/Tube network. Room was good with double bed, free to use PC, large TV, Tea/Coffee etc, yet there was as shared kitchen for meals, dining room and enough bathrooms so no waiting whilst I was there. Place was kept clean and tidy, other guest were not an inconvenience and price was good value for my needs.
