Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomI would have preferred another bar besides the one in the main cabaret hall to be open whilst the cabaret was on as felt awkward walking through to get a drink when acts on. Other than that no complaints at all.
Staff were friendly and respectful. Food was excellent. Great choices. Plenty of it. Cooked well. Loved the service in the restaurant too. Plenty of places to sit in the hotel Parking facilities also great.

United KingdomThe deserts were always running out and when asked, we were told they were cutting back. Also when reporting items found in the room being told to bin them. It's nice but slightly less value for money than last year. Deserts are relatively cheap and people's possessions are important, so Viking management please take note. We both see the Viking as a top hotel but could be better overall.

United KingdomBar prices astronomical, the bathroom was very dated and the taps didn't work very well. Very small TV in the room. The room overlooked where staff went to smoke on their breaks, in the mornings before their shift we could hear them being really loud. During the day this noise wasn't an issue but morning about 7.30am it is.
Great location, lovely staff, especially in the restaurant. Entertainment was good. Housekeepers also very friendly and did a good job of keeping the place clean
