Nothing. We had a lovely stay.

We had a deluxe double room with a large double bed. The room was very big and bright, beautifully clean and had everything we needed and more. Our host Richard was very friendly and did everything possible to make us feel welcome and even went out to get me soya milk as well as a providing fruit and cake in addition to the array of tea and coffees in the room. We had a generous breakfast spread including full breakfast that Richard cooked. The location was great, overlooking the sea and within a few minutes walk to the shops and restaurants in Ventnor as well as to the sea. Parking was provided and we would definitely stay again if we visit the IoW.

Beautiful house. The room was large and airy, with a lovely view out over the hills (I believe the view from the other room, out over the sea is stunning), and the huge bed was very very comfortable. Richard is an amazing host. He made us feel so welcome, and his breakfasts, each made according to individual tastes, are legendary (just look at the other reviews). We were so happy there, that we’ll definitely be returning. I honestly can’t recommend Ventnor Bay House enough!

I really can't think of anything - it was a great place to stay.

Richard was an excellent host. A great home cooked breakfast each day that was very tasty and filling. I didn't need lunch. The bedroom was comfortable and parking was just outside the house. It's a great location too, overlooking the sea. There's a very friendly local pub called "The Volunteer" three minutes walk away too. I would definitely stay again.

Richard made us more than welcome in his lovely, stylish home, perfectly situated close to Ventnor town and seafront, as well as the coastal walks we love. Our large, cool and airy room was well-appointed and our stay was made special with a beautiful homemade cake and fresh milk for coffee and tea, found in the mini fridge. Breakfast was fabulous; cooked to order with some interesting suggestions! We felt like valued guests and our whole experience was first rate from start to finish.

We were in the rear room so didn't have the sea view but the view was not unpleasant.

The property was located on a cliff overlooking Ventnor bay with lovely views. The house was furnished beautifully. The host was extremely welcoming and friendly and provided lost of useful information on where to eat and visit. Breakfast was lovely and the choice was literally "what would you like and I will cook it" The room also had a wide choice of hot drinks and cold beverages from a fridge, a home made cake and even a glass of sherry if you fancy it!

All was good.

Breakfast was excellent with really fresh fruit salads and well presented and delicious eggs bacon & sausage. Set us up for the day. Our host prepared and cooked our breakfast himself each morning. Richard is a mine of information and always ready to help and recommend places to visit and where to go for a good meal.Saying that though some of the good restaurants were not open during our visit. Would recommend as the rooms are clean with king size beds and a nice shower cubical. Wonderful sea view as well. This is a very nice property. Richard has a close eye for detail.

If I had to find fault and it’s hard too I promise ! Possibly better quality toiletries in the bathroom. .. what was there was perfectly functional .

Beautiful house with one room overlooking the sea . Was able to park the car right outside . The room was exceptional. Fabulous quality bed with beautiful furniture. Breakfast was superb ! we felt right at home with fresh fruit salad , fresh orange juice and good quality cooked breakfast. I’m gluten and dairy free which was catered for with no hesitation whatsoever. Richard with his helper Ian we’re just so kind and considerate. We felt like old friends right away !
