Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBed was a little small for a double. Seagulls were a little noisy in the morning but that's to be expected being close to the sea. It didn't bother us.
Very clean and great value for money. Rooms are basic but that's to be expected as it's student accommodation.Shower room very clean and great shower. Lovely views over countryside. Breakfast was better than we expected. A good choice from cereal, yogurts, fruit and full English breakfast plus pastries. All staff were super friendly.

As we were attending an event in The Great Hall on the campus this was a perfect location for us. The ease of parking, the cleanliness, and the included breakfast were all excellent BUT it was the superb customer service that will ensure we return. Everyone we spoke to both at reception and in the breakfast hall went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Thank you so much.

United KingdomNoisy plumbing, noisy bathroom light/ fan. Breakfast was ok but I suggest you stop putting undiluted squash in the machine that suggests it is juice! Nobody could drink it.

United KingdomBed mattress was lump, lack of day light in the room, design of features would benefit from improvement to modernise eg usb wall charger, moderns medicine cabinet in bathroom etc WiFi was weak and 4G signal was poor (for phone; which was needed because WiFi network was flagged with security/certificate trust issues) if they had advised to take LAN cable could have used that with laptop
Location, parking, access were superb. Self contained and suitable for purpose at reasonable price.

United KingdomFound as pensioners the shower / toilet area was a bit awkward ( ok for a short stay). Found the location was ok if driving but we intended to use taxis but found it difficult to get to get to pick ups at the top of the hill, so we drove to St David’s railway station parked up there to use public transport/ taxis
We found the room clean and tidy , the towels were good quality, the bed was in good condition ( little small when use to a king size). The restaurant was very clean and well laid out and the breakfast very good , staff pleasant and helpful.

United KingdomThere was a rude receptionist when we checked out. I was travelling from the North by public transport with rather heavy luggage and backpack and had to get it up and down the steep hill which was a challenge! If you are like this, I would recommend getting a taxi.
Brilliant! Beautiful view! Would stay again.

United KingdomWe would have preferred a room with a view, I'm sure they would do this if we had asked - next time! Bed quite narrow for a double and mattress was a little thin.
The campus was nice, we used the outdoor pool. Breakfast was good - lots of it. Easy parking. Great to have a common room with table tennis. Easy walk to city centre.

United KingdomRoom ventilation not great as door to julieete balcony was restricted. A long wait for breakfast as the kitchen seemed unable to cope with the influx of customers.
Views from the dining room were stunning. Room was basic but functional (it was a student hall of residence) and did as expected.

GermanyThe seagulls make a lot of noise, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to pack earplugs. It is also helpful to pack a sleeping mask for people who are sensitive to light and have a room with a window facing the courtyard.
The location is great if you need to visit the university often and the city centre was a 20 min walk away. At breakfast, everyone finds something. There was coffee, tea and hot chocolate and to eat cornflakes, toast, jam, Nutella, fruit, yoghurt, beans, sausages (also vegan), scrambled and fried eggs and small chocolate rolls and mini croissants.
