No bedside lamps, pillows were uncomfortable, and a very long wait to be served in the evening when ordering foo5 and receiving it. Carpets appear thread bare in dining area and need replacing, plus the decor is looking old and tired.

It is quite a popular dining place for locals and guests, which is spoiled by the staff not clearing tables quick enough, we actually had to clear our own table as we had met friends and dined as a group of four and there was quite a bit of crockery left on the table when finished

The location is very picturesque, not too far from all that Nottingham has to offer

In all honesty, the rooms are terribly dated. It’s such a shame as they are in desperate need of refurbishment. The furniture was so tired and damaged etc. The walls needed painting.

The food was 'OK' overall. The shower in the room needed to be updated as the water temperature was not good-there was a good supply of hot water to the sink in the bathroom though. The car park in front of the hotel had quite a few nasty pot holes.

We chose this hotel mainly for the location as we were filming nearby, Although a little tired the room was adequate and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very pleasant. This is obviously a very popular place too right by the River Trent and they appeared to be very busy most of the time

The room was too hot and the ventilation or the capability to cool the room wasn't sufficient on a summer's day/night. The general quality of bathroom fittings, room furniture, bed, décor, style, towels, linen, pillows, etc needs to improve significantly.

The location by the river is excellent and the dining/drinking area both inside and outside is good. The staff are helpful, friendly and fairly competent. The general character of the hotel is pleasant.

It was not possible to buy a drink after 10pm as the bar shut and there were only 2 tea bags in the room. Had we known we would have taken our own !

the shower in the room was not too good as the shower was very difficult to turn on and of. several times we had to leave the water running because we could not turn it off.

the food was very good but with regard to the main evening meal could have been a little bit more varied

A lot of things are broken in the bathroom, not all lights work. Steak in restaurant was awful.

We stayed for one night and it was near to the event we were attending. The breakfast was okay and the room was comfortable. The location by the river is lovely.

There were no eggs for the English breakfast, which was odd enough, and yet they still charged full price for it. Additionally, only instant coffee was available. But once again - nice staff!

The hotel sits on the river bank, which is nice. The room was quiet and quite spacious. The beds were comfy. Large parking in front of the hotel is free. Pleasant staff.

TV didn’t work. The aerial cable was broken. Room had recently been water damaged from above. Room was tired and dirty in places. The bed had no headboard but instead had a greasy wall from years of people’s heads touching it. Shower cubicle was far too small. Bed was past its best. The view of the kitchen extraction fans wasn’t good. Noise from the kitchen extraction fans. The smell from the kitchen extraction fans was even worse.
