Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe double bed was very small...we top and tailed as it would have been really tight and hot as small room but they did get us a lovely big fan. Bed was very comfy though. For the price would expect bigger room but maybe prices bumped as due to concert being on which they all do !!
Lovely staff, nothing too much for them, young chap on reception got us a big fan for the room because of the hot weather straight away.. Lawrence on reception even got us some oatmilk for a cuppa at midnight after getting home from the Greenday concert. Clean room , TV , plug sockets, fresh bedding, towels and toiletries. Quiet location but only easy 10 minutes walk from Picadilly station. Lovely breakfast, good choice, immaculate dining room...tablecloths...now that's a rarity! Outdoor courtyard setting and nice bar area serving food. Two lifts.

GreeceI had a double bed (thanks!) but the room was small for this size of bed. So it was a bit tight when you sat down at the desk to do some work. The bed had a reasonable mattress, no problems, but it could have been better. Breakfast was OK, I did not like the fried eggs I tried one day.
It's been a while since I was in Manchester. I used to live in the area of the hotel this is why I picked it. I had stayed there before. I like the location, it is close to nice pubs, to the gay village (I am not gay!) and the China town. You only see students around since Manchester has many of them and the hotel is adjacent to a student hall and inside of what used to be UMIST (now U. of Manchester). Everything in the hotel is overall OK although some things could be better. Coffee in breakfast was fine!

United KingdomInside the hotel was gorgeous until we went into our room. For the price we paid for one night, we expected a lot more. It was pretty much a budget standard room for over £200 a night. The bed was a bit stiff, there was a desk and wardrobe which looked and sounded like they had been there since the 90’s. The shower was good but didn’t have any indication on which way was hot or cold and the fixtures were slightly loose and had a hair hanging off it. Our room wasn’t situated on the road, but we could still hear everything happening outside through our closed window.
The location to Piccadilly and the centre was great. There is a car park right next to the hotel which is handy if you’re driving and the hotel was easy to find. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was really good and well maintained, although it was busy they kept food coming out and topped up.

United KingdomRooms small and very warm, we had a fan but still was a very warm room. Light in shower wasn't working. Beds weren't that comfy. Could hear next door making a cup of tea/coffee, walls very thin and could hear everything.
Location is good.

United KingdomNoise from skateboarders outside at 4am on Sunday and 1am Monday. Had to keep window closed to dull down sound so room was a bit stuffy.
Compact double was bigger than expected and adequate for a short business stay. Eric the barman was welcoming and very attentive. Reception staff were very pleasant and check-in was speedy.

United KingdomThe price: it was £100 more than my first stay two weeks ago and you charged my friend much less than me, which I need to dispute. The fluctuation of prices is ridiculous, I planned ahead and was punished for doing so.
The staff, breakfast, bar, room facilities and location are all very good. This is my second stay here, so I was more attuned to getting to and from the hotel and making my way around. I would stay there again.
