The bed was pretty broken on one side, springs were knackered. Fridge in the room wasn't clean but other amenities were. As we came to check in, another guest came to the desk to ask for a first aid kit saying there was a nail sticking out of the bed frame and she'd cut herself on it, not the best start to a stay!

Bit noisy at night due to other guests, but not too bad. The lift was out of action but that was only temporary and is one of those things.

The hotel is worn, paint chipping, walls damaged, broken lights, or no lights, dirty walls, spider Webb, and lack of cleaning in the bathroom. Found a piece of soap stuck to the top of the shower head, from who knows how long is that there..... other than that, it's not too bad. Slept well. My room wasn't too bad, but I probably won't be returning or advising others to pick this place as their first option.

Staff was helpful and funny, actually. The receptionist person had a great attitude and was helpful. Overpriced for the quality they provide. (To be honest, Nottingham, in general, is overpriced for the poor quality service most places provide), but at least the staff is nice here. Parking is cheap but extra charge. Location is just okay if you drive. Otherwise, 30 min walk to the centre.

Where to start? Hole in wall, table/shelf missing on otherside of the bed, chewing gum and dead fly, left on windowsills, curtains stained. Room was so warm, I could only open one window and the fan did help but not by much.

The facilities are all a little older and I would have very much appreciated higher water pressure in the shower.

Small room with own a perfect view over Nottingham from the balcony and well connected with only a short walk from the tram (5 min).

Reception was chaotic and gave us keycard to an occupied room which was very awkward. A few basics like more than one pillow, washing up liquid and a bin in the room would have made all the difference.

Balcony room upgrade and view across the city was great. Microwave and crockery in the room was handy and unexpected.

There was no 24-hour reception and no cleaners around. Three days of worth of thrash in a hotel room is not acceptable, really. Low staffing

This is a good low-budget hotel. It is old, and staffing is very low. Their website says 24-hour reception is available, but that is not the case. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and there was good lighting. The few staff members were very helpful and friendly, but there was no daily cleaning. I stayed for three days, and my thrash stayed with me. There was no change of bedding or towels. The facilities provided were good, so there was no fault there. I guess the major letdown was the lack of constant cleaning.

Room was very hot, even with the windows open. It turned out that the heating had been set to hot and as the controls were by the door neither of us noticed until i got up in the middle of the night. Once heating set to fully cold the room temperature was ideal

When we checked in we went to our room and it wasn’t clean. The last people left and we was made to go to that room. There was mess down the toilet, the bed was made but wasn’t changed, and the rubbish was still there.
