Delia, the proprietor is initially tough and unfriendly, however by the time our two weeks there were up I liked,and understood her much better.She has a difficult building to work with, but always kept clean linens and our room tidy.The room I initially booked had a bathroom,tv and would have been good but a friend wanted to come so 6 months before our check in I started asking for a twin room instead.Never got an answer after multiple attempts at communicating with hotel.Had to settle for sleeping on floor or taking a narrow room with 2 beds and a sink that gurgled water up out of drain every time someone upstairs flushed.SAD.Shower and toilet were down hallway.Won't stay again but will stop by to say hi to Delia.

Management very rude and abrupt not a friendly place, shared facilities Were not close to room not on suite, upstairs for shower, toilet end of corridor in a closet too small to use.Towels and Bedding not changed for duration of stay. Was shouted at for walking into breakfast room 10min too early. Very strange atmosphere throughout the hotel. Bar wasn't open either just not nice hotel. Certainly wouldn't recommend it or stay here again.

Great location along promenade and close to bus stop and Manx Electric Railway station. Plus first exterior impression nice due to floral displays.

The rooms were cold so didn't get much sleep. The second room was supposed to be with a shared bathroom which wasn't. Was suppose to have had a shower and bath but, only had shower which I don't like. So only had a wash.

breakfast was poor/ cheap quality and only served 8-9am which I feel is early for a holiday. I was allocated a room on the top floor which meant I could not access any WiFi/ data, lift did not work so had to climb four flights of stairs to access the room. No fresh bedding for a four night stay. Shower room floods because door does not fit shower. Provides tea bags/ coffee but no kettle.

Hostile reception, with the opening sentence not "welcome to the Isle of Man", but instead: "I don't know where you think you are going to keep that but it's not coming in here" as I arrived on my bike.

I loved the attentions the hostess had toward us. She knew the table in which each client liked to sit and what preferences did each had (beans/no beans, egg, coffee/tea). One time she had my coffee prepared even before I arrived, it felt nice that she remembered all this things. And the view from my room was amazing.

Room very small and very very dated. Breakfast only half an hour window. Shower didn’t work on the floor I was on. Hotel like a maze - very disorientating. TV in room didn’t work.

I liked everything here.

A great family run hotel. My room was great value, immaculately clean with a very comfy bed. My shared bathroom was perfectly clean too. Breakfast was amazing each day and my hosts were very helpful and kind. Parking was very easy and just outside the hotel. I look forward to visiting again.

Bathroom slightly tired was 3 levels above room. Lots of stairs.. no kettle in room. Better than most hotels for even double price so perfectly fine

View of sea, spotless and quiet room, bedding crisp and clean. breakfast was simple but nice. Hassle free. Really liked it and hope to go back.

When I arrived, there seemed to be some confusion about my booking. The person who was there couldn’t find my booking so I was told to wait for a receptionist to come. I ended up waiting more than a half an hour. I was getting worried while I waited but eventually they got the key to my room. The staff apologised for the delay. Besides this confusion at the beginning, everything else was fine and the rest of my stay went smoothly.

Good location, the room was simple but clean and it had a balcony and a beautiful view over the promenade and the sea. A cooked breakfast was included. I really enjoyed my stay. Excellent value for money.

Spotless clean. Lovely friendly staff. Excellent hot full manx breakfast. Lily was the lovely black Labrador l wanted to take home. Enjoyed my staff very much. Staff very friendly and welcoming and could not do enough for you. Breakfast was lovely and served on piping hot plate. Looking forward to staying here again. Definitely recommend. The room was very comfortable and spotless clean.
