    The grounds

The main hotel is very smart though our room was in the extensive extension which was a very long walk from reception The food & drink we found expensive and we were disappointed not to be able to make use of the pool & gym on the first day due to booking system being full though on walk by looked quiet.

Reatraurants are a bit too expensive for what it its. (we went to the casual one) and £20 for a meh.. pizza or £20 for barely average burger is no bueno.

Really nice Mannor stay, with some tasty afternoon tea, beautiful gardens and nature around

High volume of guests, wedding functions created atmosphere of frenzy, rather than relaxing. Unfortunately pool closure on one day affected access to a key feature

View not brilliant from our junior suite room. Also bathroom in our room was showing some signs of wear and tear. Food and drink service in the bistro wasn't the best especially as I had to provide my order three times and wait quite a while for our food. Experience was above average but definitely didnt justify the hefty price I paid for just one night

Requested for an upgrade during checkin as we visited to celebrate my wifes birthday and were refused. We were put in one of their rooms that required refurbishing therefore our initial experience wasnt too great. However we spoke to the Guest manager the next day and were upgraded to one of the suites which made our stay extra special.

Staff were friendly. Venue was clean and very well maintained. Breakfast and Dinner was absolutely delicious with plenty of options. The venue has beautiful grounds and is not too far from Bristol and Bath.

Presentation of the bathroom was disappointing! The sink had a crack from side to side and the bath had missing enamel around the plug hole together with what appears to be some sort of filler. The shower head leaked from the side.

Breakfast was well presented, varied and plentiful. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, and a room fan was most welcome on a warm night. The Arboretum was lovely for an evening stroll. The building generally is very attractive and well maintained, and the dining room was beautiful.

We had a small issue with our bathroom, and when we told staff it was dealt with immediately and effectively. We were very impressed with how caring and kind the staff were.

The hotel was set in beautiful grounds and was dog friendly. The staff were all friendly and helpful and kind to us. There were handy car parks near each area of the hotel so you could park close to your room. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. We had a lovely break and have booked to stay again later in the year

I paid extra for an upgrade room and a little disappointed with it. The TV was tiny on the wall and very spare furnishings. But clean. My cheese cake was £10 so food isn’t cheap but again it was good with great service

Bathroom floors & toilet could have done with being cleaned better & for the size of the building we were expecting the pool & jacuzzi to have been bigger.
