Beds were very comfy, lovely views, cosy kitchen and fully stocked with pots & pans, utensils, cleaning - The Host was excellent in her communication with us before we arrived and throughout our stay as needed and she was kind enough to leave some milk in the fridge as we arrived very late so we could have some hot drinks :) The heating came on at good times to keep us toasty and comfortable. Great shower and lovely White Company bath and show products. There is free parking at a nearby Pub and we found it very useful to have this so close by. Stunning view so Pendle Hill at the back and also very close to the beautiful village of Barrowford.

Having to leave!

What a beautiful, characterful and cosy cottage with wonderful views, and it was so comfortable inside! We absolutely loved our stay, immediately feeling like the place was giving us a huge hug as we walked in. The welcome pack was great, with added chocolates and fresh milk, fresh flowers around the well equipped cottage, and lots of helpful information. We loved how spacious the cottage was, and the balcony would be wonderful to use in better weather. The beds were extremely comfortable, with great quality bedding and pillows. I struggle to sleep, particularly when away, but had no problems here! Anne was so helpful with adjusting the heating to suit us, and was extremely understanding when l accidentally dropped something, causing minor damage to the property. She assured me it wasn't an issue and even offered us a later leaving time which was very generous and really impressed us as such a kind gesture! We were able to park outside the cottage the whole stay and it was lovely and peaceful, even though the cottage is on a main road. This is a perfect place to totally unwind, with lovely places to visit close by and plenty of amenities to hand too. We can can definitely recommend a stay here. Thank you Anne, for such a wonderful break which was much needed! X

like previous time, was nothing we could complain about.

Cottage absolutely met our expectations. Again ! Because we're here second time. First time we spent 3 nights and this time 4. We would love to come back here again. Anne is absolutely fabulous host. She texted us few times to ask if everything is ok, recommended nice places and when we had any questions about staying or house, she helped straight away. House was clean, situated in beautiful neighbourhood. I also met the cleaner and she asked if we need anything like extra towels etc. She was so kind and brought some sugar because I asked if I can find somewhere in the kitchen. Both ladies are very kind and atmosphere at the cottage and also when talking with them was warm and friendly. I wish I could live in that amazing place ❤️ highly recommend for everyone who loves nature and beautiful views from the balcony with the morning coffee ☺️

Parking on road always available, not necessarily outside cottage - but didn't cause us any difficulty.

Beautifully and comfortably appointed. Everything thought of. Spacious rooms; gorgeous outlook of Pendle Hill from sitting room window and balcony. Central heating made it warm and cosy plus gas fire as back-up. Owner very friendly and couldn't have been more accommodating. Blacko a pretty village = well-placed for surrounding countryside, pubs, eateries and walks. Despite being on main road, excellent double glazing meant we couldn't hear passing traffic at all! :)

sadly the lovely view from the balcony is obstructed by a tree and I think it was Pendle hill herself you can’t see, lovely tree but I would have loved to see Pendle hill. Just cosmetic observations, but the paint work needs attention especially in the rear bedroom.

everything you need for a short stay. the beds were exceptionally comfortable & bathroom was ample. parking outside (although on the road) wasn’t an issue. home from home feel and a lovely sitting room with a decent TV kitchen had all you needed, very well stocked with utensils and crockery, and exceptionally clean throughout.

Spectacular views. Cozy lounge. Nicely furnished and equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of space. Great broadband/WiFi and smart TV with iPlayer, Amazon Prime etc. Good location for exploring the area.
