Some of the Dining chairs are very wobbly, My wife said it was like being on a boat with the movement.

Excellent comfortable room with two armchairs. Nice sized bathroom with plenty of shelving to place washbags etc on them. Very nice breakfast whether a cooked meal or Cereals etc. in a good sized area.

Been several times now, but didnt like our room this time, overlooking the main road so was a bit noisey at night

The single room was not in a pleasant position overlooking kitchen pipes etc. And very warm. Some staff were excellent but the breakfast staff were not on the ball. When we left the room our plates for all our courses had still not been removed despite staff standing around.

The double room was excellent with big bathroom and dressing room. Large bed. Good position for walking around the town. Parking sorted easily at no extra cost.

The Room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The Breakfast was buffet style so you could have what you wanted and was reasonably priced. The location was perfect with one of the entrance opening on to the High Street, but the carpark around the back so it was easy to leave to explore.

Nothing really but if I had to pick anything was the fact that the light over the picture wasn't level and neither was the TV. Also in the bathroom there was corrosion on the cupboard handle under the sink

The Room was excellent, very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice with lots of choice from a full English to croissants, pastries, cereals, toast and fruit. The staff were friendly.

The rooms, although nice, were dated. The crome was chipped on the draws in the bathroom. The leather on the headboard was ripped where others had been sat up in bed. I felt the single bed (my son had the double, he had a great nights sleep) I was in was lumpy, and the pillows had seen better days. This isn't taking away from how clean the rooms were and the freshness of the linen and towels. The staff definitely take pride in how clean they keep them. Just my observation of the fixtures and fittings. I had friends in other rooms and it was the same for them too.

The whole feel of the place was nice. When we walked through the carpark, into the courtyard and bar. My son and I looked at each other and said wow this looks good. The reception staff and cleaning staff were super friendly. Any questions they were always around to answer and any help we needed, they stopped what they were doing. Couldn't have wished for better staff. We had a good sized bath / shower, with shampoo, conditiner and shower gel. We enjoyed the breakfasts. We got there at 8am both mornings. Lots of choices of hot and cold foods. Nice that we could go and help ourselves. My son and I shared pizza and the other meals our friends had looked good.

The weather was quite warm so I would’ve liked airconditioning but I appreciate it’s an old building. Also the bathroom was a bit tatty and one of the lights didn’t work.

Lovely building with great facilities and very central, the staff were lovely and we were made to feel very welcome.

It was clean, but could still be improved to better/higher levels of cleanliness. Also feel there should be higher standard of toiletries etc in the bathroom too.

Beautiful hotel, rooms and pub. The staff in the bars were very friendly (we didn't eat so can't comment there) and excellent range of drinks. Our room was a larger one and was charming. Decent beverage tray in our room too.

Room was a little tired but clean and comfy. Quite large car park but really struggled to get a space as very busy.

Good nights sleep in a spacious clean room. Nice breakfast. Hotel has a great atmosphere, very historic with original wooden beams etc.

Some rooms are right into the car park. The ones at ground floor are basically into the parked cars. No privacy unless you close the dark curtains at all time

It was quite warm when we went and the air ventilation is limited as windows are restricted with locks so unable to open them fully. Guess it’s health and safety but would have preferred to have windows open a bit more.

Loved the open courtyard and the seating area. It’s right in the centre so excellent for local shops, restaurants etc. Plenty of food options at the hotel and a couple of bars too. It has a very open and welcoming feeling. Rooms were clean with kettle, iron and tv provided. Nice touch to get free parking too.

The food we had for dinner was terrible. We had the roast chicken breast which, if it was whole breast, the chicken must have been a day old. The plates were cold and the sauce had congealed. The dauphinois potatoes were very dry.

The superior double room was excellent.

Overall, the hotel and accommodation were good value for money, the staff were lovely and very helpful,and the location was good.
