General decor is a little tired.

Comfortable room and hotel is in a good location in the town. Car parking was available right outside for £15 for 24hrs.

Room facilities are at least 20yrs out of date. No phone charging points, no bottled water supplied, no fridge/ mini bar and bathroom from the 1980s.

The room was very hot,no air conditioning, and window only opened a short way,the cleaning lacked a lot of attension to detail, tea bags and milk not replaced, one day only 1 set of towels were left, but after contacting reception this was rectified straight away.

Location was the best, our room overlooked the cathedral, breakfast was fine plenty of choice and comfortable dining area.beds comfy and room size good, shower easy to use and very good.would stay here again, there was a car park, but travelled by train so did not use.this would be a plus, being in the middle of winchester , and parking being at a premium.

Breakfast was mediocre for such a quality brand hotel. More minor things that may upset some people ....although toilet door would close it wouldn't lock, cheapest toilet paper possible supplied, room decor and bedding a little tired.

Location was very good. room was spacious and clean, staff friendly. Late check out (i.e. noon).

For the price, it would be hard to improve. I prefer a walk-in or dedicated shower instead of a bath with a shower.

The hotel is right in the centre with its own parking and overflows opposite into the council car park if there is no room. My room overlooked the cathedral as did the dining room, which made for fabulous outlook. The bar is well stocked and there is plenty of comfortable seating. The high street is just around the corner, making the hotel handy for shopping and restaurants. The hotel food was very good and the evening meals were delicious and inexpensive with a nice choice of dishes. The executive room was worth the small extra cost. The view over the cathedral grounds was nice and the large window made the room airy. There was a nice touch on arrival with a handwritten note from the manager and a plate of fruit and chocolate. The bathroom was fine. The free wifi throughout was very handy and easy to use.

There was a nightclub nearby and the music went into the night. Bin lorries noisily emptied industrial bins overnight.

The hotel is in a good location by the cathedral and shops. The facilities were clean. Staff were helpful and polite. Self service breakfast-as much as you want-was lovely.

Bfast extortionate price at £17.50 - didn’t have it so can’t say if it was worth the money Decor a bit tired and corridors very tired. Carpets need a good clean

Creaky old wooden bed. 2 singles pushed together to make a double! Huge tree blocking our veiw of Winchester cathedral what we paid extra for.

It looked a little run down from the outside and quite old on the inside

I liked how spacious it was when you walked in and it was well signed posted and reception right near the entrance :)

On checking in we approach our room passing the housekeeper that had just cleaned our room in the corridor. Unfortunately he was suffering from quite a bad personal hygiene problem that was noticeable in our room. We needed to open our window to freshen the room. Also the twin beds were quite narrow.

The pillows for our bed were very thick - and not very comfortable. It would have been better to have one thick and one thinner pillow for each bed. Several windows are suffering from broken seals, so there is moisture between the panes which hindered views to the Cathedral, unfortunately. The evening menu was very limited - not as good as when we stayed there before.

The breakfast was good, but with only one coffee machine the queue for hot drinks was slow. I would have preferred individual jam pots rather than the communal ones. There was plenty of food available and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
