The noise from the kitchen below was a bit disturbing and the room was very light. If you want to go to bed early they need black out blinds. Breakfast was bland

Lovely location for my needs. Very comfortable room with bar and restraunt on location. Comfortable bed even though it was a single. Great shower pressure and views were stunning.

The only thing I'd be tempted to look at is the bedroom windows blind - a bit fiddly. Venetian possible better. TV was a bit too SMART for me, but I wasn't staying to binge watch!

The hotel is a old 'modernised' Inn in the Victorian times and that twee charm has been retained. The room although a single had everything in it that I needed. Lovely ensuite bathroom looks very new. The breakfast was really good, quality ingredients cooked very well (steady on, on the bacon though :)) It's a lovely, quiet setting overlooking the loch Albie? Very friendly, attentive staff. The owner was very accommodating very late booking/check in so I was grateful for that. I hope to return on my visits to Aviemore!

The hotel is right on the road and next to railway line. Traffic noise is significant in front bedrooms. The whole building shakes when a train passes. The road and railway are quiet between 11pm and 5 am.

Beautiful location, very kind and helpful staff, excellent 'cuisine' and overall a warm, relaxed atmosphere ... what more could you wish for? Our short walks to the loch across a field full of nosy sheep were very special! We loved our two days and nights at Rowan Tree!

Passing trains made our bedroom vibrate! For some reason my cooked breakfast on the 2 nd day was half as big as the first day!

Great location, the room was clean, the break was a bit confusing at the time for ordering but one of the ladies from staff excepted and we understand how we need to proceed. The breakfast was very nice and tasty. The coffee was not what I aspected, was a big pot and was not very strong. The bed was not very comfortable, and to small for 2 persons Overall we have a great stay, nice area for walking with dog, nice lake nearby, nice view.

The rooms were very well appointed and included modern plugs that have USB for phone charging. Large TV with FreeSat and access to all the usual Apps - excellent. Bar, snug and restaurant all have great ambiance. Dinner was excellent as was breakfast. Walk to the loch right on the doorstep. Very friendly staff. And way more dog friendly that most "dog friendly" places.

The weather was a little disappointing but it was February!

Small Country Hotel, great staff with very friendly relaxed attitude. Food was excellent. Pleasant strolling in fields behind with your pets as dogs and cats welcome. Only a couple of miles from Aviemore where there are plenty of activities. Not to mention skiing! Altogether a very pleasant stay and would recommend to anyone
