It’s a little tired in the bathroom but it’s and old house so not a big issue.

Good location for us and had availability last minute which was a godsend.

Room was a little tired but very comfortable. TV could be a little larger.

Great choice at breakfast. Help yourself to juice,fruit and cerial. Choice of cooked breakfast. Toast and preserves. Plenty of tea,coffee,milk and biscuits in the room. Plenty of parking well off the road and out of view.

I had been asked thru booking message if I wanted to enjoy dinner. I told them yes for the two nights of my stay. Well the restaurant was closed (no message in return they can not offer dinner). I asled thru e.mail and message booking feature to Hotel to issue and prepare invoice with detailed info on how to address. NO REPLY. So now after my departure on 5th of June I know the staff or supposed staff is not reading messages or e-mails. The messages you receive are automatically generated but no STAFF behind it. This is a lack of service and support. Not even a message taken note of your message will need some days to handle your issue. Not even that. So nice place to stay, in a very nice green garden, cozy old style building. If you do not need any assistance just sleep and enjoy wifi and breakfast (late 7.30), it si your place.

Room was clean and had all necessary amenities you expect of a Hotel (not a Guesthouse). Is better tha std guest-house. Breakfast was good, freshly cooked eggs, all you need.

Decor was tired although clean and tidy; the whole property feels in need of refresh. Could be wonderful with investment, but this would probably mean that the prices would have to rise too.

The front door lock was broken and not fixed. As reception not always manned this was a security risk. Door still not fixed when we left. This establishment is no smoking. On the 2nd night marijuana was being smoked downstairs. Smell so strong in our bedroom we had to open the windows (on a cold night) I did pass comment the next morning.

Room a little cold, but still comfortable

The location is excellent for Ely centre and train station, less than a 20-minute walk. Food is delicious and well presented. Staff are very friendly.

The weather on the second day!

Location excellent to visit the cathedral, town centre, also the river. Robert, Jose and Zanna were very welcoming, helpful and provided a great breakfast and evening meal, will definitely stay again.

No USB port - I’m sure everyone wants to charge their phones. It didn’t occur to me to bring an adapter. Just change one of the sockets for one with USB - not an expensive job

Shower dated but adequate could be better.

Excellent breakfast, room had nice view of the garden, room was clean and bed comfortable. For price paid very good value. Although did not use it downstairs lounge looked very comfortable with homely feel. Would have liked to have gone into Ely as only short walk did make the Albert pub which was quite nice but bit pricey. Reasonable parking bit tight to get through main entrance of the car park for van(Renault trafic LWB) but once in fine.

The only negative was the shower. The water pressure is quite low, but not a disaster. Would benefit from power showers, but then the price would go up. For what you pay there it's great value.

We see a number of negative reviews on here, but we don't understand why. It's an incredibly friendly place. The staff are really helpful. Our room was ready 4 hours before check-in so they gave us the keys. It's in a very central location and has free parking. For the price it's a steal. Would definitely stay again.
