The room was very basic but serviceable....arguably because of the age of the building. The hairdryer didn't work

This place has an amazing history and is very picturesque., very centrally located. The courtyard is very pretty

Not that clean, lots of pigeons immediately around room window with lots of pigeon poop, saggy mattress and no power points near bed head. Off hand staff on arrival and no idea where to leave keys on departure - another guest leaving early was equally confused

    Not a lot ......

Room was very small and basic and a little drab, but it was very cheap, so can't complain really

Excellent location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful old building, lots of history. Nice pub with a good choice of drinks and a lovely big courtyard. The room was clean and had all the facilities you needed. Tea tray was topped up with milk, tea, etc. Excellent value for money

If I’m going to be picky, there were two sweets dropped on the floor, not sure if they were meant for the room or whether they were just left but that’s all. We were there for a shower and to sleep. A fan in the room would’ve been nice as it was hot and stuffy. But they are my only two picks.

The location was great. Right in town and a three minute walk to the Guildhall where we were going to a gig.

Nightmare driving round the inner ringroad 5 times, using Google maps, to try to find it. They could have given better instructions. The receptionist was friendly but there was no way to call her when she was not behind the desk. I had to wander around and one of the people drinking in the courtyard asked me if I needed help, then fetched her. I was asking for more milk as there were only 2 little cartons in our room. It could have been inconvenient having no electric sockets, eg for a phone charger. The light above the washbasin didn't work. MAIN PROBLEM - it was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. I like a firm bed, but I could feel all the mattress springs, like lying on a metal grid, plus a very uncomfortable little plastic rod was attached to the top of the mattress, just under my hips. If they can't afford new mattresses, surely they could at least provide a padded mattress cover.

Fantastic experience, staying in such an amazing old Inn. Loved seeing the seagull with her 3 chicks on the roof right outside the window of our double room. The single room was atmospheric, with its old black timbers.

There needs to be some more effort from the owners to maintain parts of the exterior roof and the window broken replaced by board is not an attractive sight.

For an accommodation built in 1455 it was amazing .

Refurbished rooms, the room we were in is certainly not the room advertised on the website, quite misleading.

The hotel could be a lovely place if some money was spent on the rooms, the actual building is beautiful and tons of original features which were amazing. Sadly the furniture is old and tired.

The dining room was a little gloomy. Because all the rooms are on the first and second floor and only accessible by fairly steep stairs the hotel is not suitable for persons with mobility issues.

The room was exceptionally clean and roomy. Breakfast was very good.
