Restaurant.. where do we start.... . Booked half board option. 3 course meal for tea and breakfast. Ordered Sate Mushrooms for starters, took 30 minutes to arrive, when they did they were cold and and tasteless. Main course was their Cheese burger. Another 30 minutes before this arrived. Again no taste and was luke warm. It was still pink in the middle. And the chips were not cooked. And now the desert.. Ordered sticky toffee pudding. After another 30 mins I decided to leave. I walked to the nearest shop to get a pot of pringles. When I got back to my room I was greeted by one of the waitresses who had my pudding. Again this was shit. THE CHEF NEEDS TO BE SACKED. YOULL BE BETTER OFF EMPLOYING STEVIE WONDER AS THE CHEF. Breakfast. Again nothing was hot. It was all luke warm shite. I'll not be returning.

Our air conditioning unit was broken and the room was super hot and stuffy due to the weather which made the stay uncomfortable. The breakfast was not included with our booking so paid for it separately. It was a buffet but the food was lukewarm.

The hotel was very nice, quiet and great location for the wedding we attended. Unfortunately didn't get to use the spa facilities but was told it was very nice.

We had a downstairs room,107 the view from the window let the hotel down there was a door from the hotel not sure where it led from maybe back of reception? It led into a court yard and immediately out side the door there were so many cigarette butts all over the ground and an old table dumped out there making it very unsightly ok we didn't visit the hotel to stare out of the room window but when you do look out like when your opening and closing the curtains or even just checking the weather a tidier view would be nice

Nice bedroom clean and well maintained although the carpet has seen better days. The staff are really nice and friendly nothing is too much trouble for them plenty of choice at breakfast we would stay again if in the area

The Wi-Fi connection in the room I was in

My spoons of the hotel was excellent apart from the Wi-Fi in the room I was in. I could not get an excellent or even good connection.

Can’t be helped whilst work is ongoing, but the scaffolding made the hotel appear closed on arrival - perhaps a notice “Open but under refurbishment” might help.

Ring a Sunday we got a very good rate, so didn’t have high expectations, and upon arrival, seeing the scaffolding, we thought now we know why. However, we were warmly and efficiently welcomed, our room had recently been refurbished was very comfortable, clean and quiet, and hard but comfy bed. Information sheet explained work was only undertaken between 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday. Yes, at the moment, the decor is a little old fashioned but it’s still in good order and quality. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We liked that the football was being shown in the bar. We didn’t have breakfast or use the leisure pool/gym but checked both out and both seemed very good.

The only thing i would say was a negative, was waking up and a worker was standing right outside my window on the second floor. He was working immediately outside the window, with full view of the entire room, and my partner and myself in bed.

The staff were lovely, the new rooms are nicely done and the facilities are a great bonus

The building itself is rather ugly but obviously undergoing building work. The pool room was fairly dark and dingy, in need of a refurb.

Was not informed before arrival that restaurant not open for evening meals. Had to eat elsewhere. Scaffold covering external property reduce view and natural light in room. Buffet breakfast was overcrowded and had to sit in bar area.

1. Staff struggled with understanding of some of the processes. Bar staff preferred I charge drinks to my room but reception didn’t know how to take the card details. After shuttling between the two I paid cash. 2. Dinner was a slow process on the first night (over two hours to complete). 3. The location is poor if you don’t not have a car

The sign at the entrance is very dull and easily missed even when using satnav.

Despite being informed ahead of time that we wanted twin beds. They put us in double room. Manager helpful and did change our room but it took a long time and he made me feel like we were in the wrong

I’m a refurb so somethings have not be refurbished. The swimming pool needs an uplift plus eating areas
