The food and service in the restaurant was very poor we had to send our meal back

Parking fee of £15 a night was a nasty surprise. Hotel reception greeting could have been friendlier, bathroom radiator was never on - soggy cold towels in morning, generator noise underneath our room (wore earplugs but without would have kept me awake), no spa treatments available two full days we were there

The bottom of the spa showers was a little grimey and needed a good clean, the carpet was dirty on the main stairwell of the hotel, room was a little small.

Nice building and nice bar downstairs, I had a drink on the terrace, spa was nice.

The front of house staff in the restaurant in the evenings did not seem to have anyone in charge. Service was very haphazard as a result. One evening we were asked if we would like our mains served before we had finished our starters - to stop it going cold.

Good location near centre of town. Food quality was very good. Parking (paid) adjacent to hotel. Staff were very friendly, but see below.

The Restaurant. It was my birthday so I wanted the chataubriand. It wasn't cooked well, wasn't rested and it was dry and served with frozen chips. Definitely not worth £80!

Rooms was comfy but the decor was questionable. The food in the restaurant was grossly overpriced and not good quality

The only feedback I have was that although the room cleaning was to a reasonably high standard, there were brown marks on the bathroom wall,(not scuff marks) and toothpaste on the shower tiles which had not been cleaned - otherwise the bathroom had been cleaned properly.

Loved the actual building and the era of the main building. Loved the bar area and the fact you could sit outside. The swimming pool facilities were great. Staff were attentive. Nice sized room and comfy bed. Great location in Harrogate.

Little confusion when making , for food and drink. Staff said my card was t registered yet payment for room was taken at the end of our stay. I had to pay as I ordered things.

Food in the bar was very overpriced and poor quality. Breakfast should never cost £17. Parking free also extortionate.

It was tired in places, the spa changing rooms were dirty, the spa reception was in-interested. You pay extra for a dog but don’t get anything for that, so why the extra charge …? The reception prices for breakfast was confusing so we didn’t bother have it as it wasn’t clear.

Neglected windows that didn't open to let in fresh air, toilet door that did not latch because lock not aligned, lack of convenient drawer space. Bedside drawer units had crooked legs and overbalanced when laden drawer pulled out. Lack of shelf space in bathroom for personal toiletries - wall space of bath, shower and washbasin areas each used up by two or three small fire extinguisher-sized dispensers of detergents/conditioner that we would not use other than in a dire emergency.

Breakfast and overall appearance. Lovely location and very convenient for the conference centre. Spacious, quiet room and very comfortable bed. Staff were vey attentive, friendly and helpful.

Parking is not free and £15 is quite expensive... it is very close to the hotel though.

The food in the bar restaurant was expensive and did not represent good value. Our meal at The IVY including desserts was far better value.
