2nd floor room with no lift a little challenging. basic but perfectly adequate room if hot. but so was the weather.... bar service didn't shine (forgot our order)

There was no sign to say where the reception was not even on the reception desk. I did speak with them about it twice but nothing happened while we were there. It’s a small thing but when you are struggling with luggage it would be helpful to know. We took the wrong turn, very frustrating and such a simple thing to fix. I asked to speak with the manager but he didn’t respond. The only thing that took the shine from what was otherwise an enjoyable week.

Long walk to room involving 3 different staircases. Small kettle. No fridge (considering the price). TV only watch-able from bed not from chairs. No writing desk.

The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was outstanding; spacious shower with ample hot water quickly available and thermostatically controlled. Additional tea and milk provided on request.

I didn’t like the stairs. I wish there was a lift. It would be the only thing that would stop me coming back, if I couldn’t get a ground floor room. Also, we were situated in room 113, which is just slightly to the left of the dining room but probably over the kitchen. This didn’t bother me but the fans that came on around 6 am in the morning woke me up every morning.

This hotel probably has the best staff of any hotel that I have ever been to. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was a bit on the pricey side, but I can’t fault it. I loved sitting on the balcony in the late evening with a glass of something, watching the sea.

had to wait a long time for our fried eggs by which time we had eaten our breakfast we can not say to much has we only stayed 2 nights out of the 3 nights we booked .my wife had a accident in there bathroom due to a fall.reception said they would give to us a voucher to make up for lost day.we went to a and e conquest hospital where she was treated for a badly sprained wrist and severe bruising.

Great location next to the beach. Wonderful outside terrace. Friendly and helpful staff members who were very accommodating. The hotel is very well furbished and is a luxurious place to stay. The room was small but decorated to a high standard providing windows that could be opened and a view to the sea. The power shower was superb! Breakfast was the highlight. Everything was available and the service provided by the catering team was magnificent. I like to refer to hotels like this as places for sensible grown ups!

The sink was partially blocked & took 15 minutes to empty, hair dryer had button stuck on, the thermal cutout activated after short use & no PAT testing evident, disappointing detail. Buffet breakfast on the Sunday morning that we stayed, sufficient but more akin to a premier inn , I had expected more as I saw online a previous breakfast menu that was much more extensive, a Small double room was sufficient for us but expensive for the size & facilities.

We stayed in room 201, clean and sufficient for our one night stay, Staff were very pleasant, an amazing location on the sea front, the dining room was bright & seemed to have been renovated recently

Our dog was welcomed in the room with a dog pack, bed and bowls which was great, but the ‘bar’ area allocated to us for dinner, separate to the main restaurant, was a soulless waiting room where we didn’t feel particularly welcome.

I had been expecting slippers in my room, as defined by the Booking.com confirmation details, but there were none so I tried to phone reception (at 10.30/10.45pm on my arrival evening) but there was no reply. I tried again, and again. Still no reply. I reported both these incidents to reception the next morning, they told me that slippers had to be requested. I said I had never been told this - later slippers were brought to my room. Reception was puzzled that the phone had not been answered and said they’d check the phone line. I do not know the result of the phone line check as I had no cause to call down again.

Overall everything was as anticipated.
