Lift was broken on day one, but wasn’t a huge problem. The rooms itself are a little dated but that’s not really a problem.

Lovely pleasant staff…..very convenient…..great choice of breakfast. Our daughter lives in Blackheath so very convenient and a relief to find a nice hotel as our last accommodation in the area was dire….we have already booked for September and December!!

I had just one disappointment and that is that the hot breakfast didn’t cater well for me as a veggie. I was told I didn’t need to notify the hotel and was part of a large group of cyclists heading from London to Paris. My breakfast therefore wasn’t adequate fuel. I ended up with porridge made up with water (although a member of staff gave me a jug that turned out to be coffee to begin with). I’d just be a bit more cautious with a booking in future. Other than that, my stay was lovely.

The hotel was centrally located, a sort walk to the village, 10 minutes to Greenwich Observatory. The people were great, Our departure day we needed to leave super early before the restaurant was open, so they organised a light breakfast just for us! The food was great. The room was excellent and spacious.

The room was very hot and the windows don't open. The lift door closes very abruptly whilst still trying to enter it.

This was our fourth stay at The Clarendon. We love its location on Blackheath. We had a very pleasant room.

Shower door didn’t shut properly , door and shower had grime on it. Bathroom door and room door very stiff. TV was unplugged, the plug was very dusty. No notepad or pen in room. No hand soap in bathroom. An extra bed was placed in the room which limited walking space.

Good location. Evening staff and housekeeping were more friendly and polite. Breakfast was okay.

We had a very hot room. The shower was pretty weak considering it had a big head. Didn’t like that I couldn’t lock the main door. We have always liked the breakfast but this time we had to request coffees none were offered. Food was good. It felt very under staffed. Many coach tourists who were a little rude.

It’s a lovely building, great location. Lady in the bar kindly gave us some tap water at 22.30 (with a smile) as we couldn’t get the water in the vending machine out. A water dispenser somewhere (free) would be a great idea. These days we don’t want to buy plastic bottles.

TV would not tune and find Programmes despite being quite new. Shower fittings were such poor quality that even though quite they were already broken.

Always a little too warm in the building and one or two noisy residents but that's what you get in a hotel.

Easy to locate. Great location near amenities and train station. Free parking. Excellent customer service. Brilliant breakfast.
