The room was very comfortable, we had a lot of space, it was clean and tidy. There was a bus station right by the entrance which brought us to the city center in about ten minutes - very easy! They were all very friendly, breakfast was nice and we had plenty of recommendations for Edinburgh.

There is nothing to not like unless you require an elevator. This is an old house and does not provide one.

Outside the busy inner city but easily reached by several busses or foot. Charming house with beautiful rooms. Breakfast plentiful to get you going and the hostess Cath is the kindest, most knowledge lady ever. She gave us a few good tips regarding restaurants and off the beaten path places.

The location is perfect, located near a bus stop. The bus takes you directly to the centre of Edinburgh. The owner is very friendly and very accomodating. Also, we love the way the breakfast is arranged (you let your wishes know the day before), very sustainable with very little waste. Our room was spacious and felt very comfortable. Edinburgh is a lovely city. We will definitely come back!

Everything was great

There really was nothing that I didn’t like. If anything, I would have appreciated a hook in the bathroom to hang my robe, but it was not critical. Every aspect of my stay there was wonderful.

Room was really comfortable, bed was excellent, bathroom immaculately clean. Breakfast was organized and nutritious, helping to start each day with energy.

We thought the breakfast was basic. We would have liked to have had a hot breakfast. It would be good to specify the type of breakfast on the website. We probably would have stayed elsewhere.

What we loved about this property is the fact it is a little bit out of town but the bus stops right at your door so after a big day of touring or shopping or just doing Edinburgh you get to come home to a lovely home met by the owner

The property was on a bus line with stops out front, but was also a reasonable walk to old town to the north and a shopping mall to the south. The host was very attentive to our needs and pleasant to talk to.

I can not think of anything that I did not like. There is just too much good about the place!

Alba House is conveniently located just outside of city center. You can get just about everywhere in 20 minutes via bus. The bus stop is just across the street from the BnB. Cath, the owner, is very sweet and helpful with directions and recommendations. Our room was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast in the morning was fresh and very good. This was the perfect stay for our trip to Edinburgh. I would 100% stay here again.

Our room was on the top floor which could make it fairly warm, but this was a very minor flaw and not one that could be helped. Just worth noting for anyone who may find sleeping in heat in the summer a problem. Our room didn't have a standing shower due to it's shape, but again this was not really an issue for us.

The hosts were absolutely wonderful. On arrival Cathy provided us with lots of information on Edinburgh, where to go and what to do and provided us with details on the bus routes that got us right into the centre of town. The bus stop location couldn't be more convenient, it really is right outside the hotel and they come very frequently with lots of options so you're right into town quickly. Our bedroom was very comfortable and though on the warmer side, there was plenty of ventilation which was just fine for us. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was a lovely, lighter start to the day with fruit or pastry options alongside a selection of cereal options and yoghurt.
