The bed was advertised as double - it was a small double or a large single. It would not work for two large adults. The mattress was on a board frame, that in itself is not a problem, but it requires a thicker mattress; medium to medium firm to ensure the right level of comfort. I woke up sore on the second night from it being both too thin and too soft. The room has two sockets and none next to the bed,, although it could be argued that they are at the foot of the bed. With the amount of electrical goods people charge and carry today, I don't think it is unfair to ask that there should be a minimum of four sockets in a bedroom. In fairness, the socket has a usb outlet. The main problem was that the internet would cut out and was exceptionally slow. It did not improve while I was there. I did mention it to reception. Unfortunately, I was not in a part of the hotel where I could use my data.

The staff are kind, warm and friendly. The hotel is very clean and the manager is attentive. It is well situated in the city with several train stations nearby, notably Lime street. The room was very quiet, the air conditioner worked extremely well and it was dark: I had reserved a room without a window, which suits me, as I sleep better. The instant coffee in the rooms was very good quality and had a great taste. The power shower is definitely what it says!

The ensuite bathroom doesn't offer much in the way of privacy, but it is also lovely and clean with good amenities.

Great location, lovely modern hotel and rooms, really clean. Really good value for money considering how most other hotels had hiked up their prices with Taylor in town. Reception staff were really nice too.

Woke up to the sound of drilling and hammering in the morning two mornings in a row which wasn’t pleasant. - no warning either. Key cards kept deactivating which was annoying.

Really close location to the city. Cavern Club a 3 min walk away. Everything very close by! Staff very friendly.

I wasn't too keen on the glass shower/WC but I knew this was what was in the room when I booked it from looking at the pictures

The room was very clean the bed was comfy the view was good (city views rooftops could see the dock windows on 2 sides) nice natural light in the room good for make-up. Large tv at the bottom of the bed. The staff were polite and friendly Near the carpark which was validated at the hotel so it was £12 for 24 hours (5 min walk)

Just our room was small felt claustrophobic next time I will book a larger one or one with window.

Service girl At reception went above and beyond she was Welsh that’s all I remember. We had wine and cheese night free as fab.

Great hotel, second city I’ve stayed in with them - So close to everything - only a ten minute walk from the train station, even less to Mathew Street. Walking distance to Albert Dock. Room small, but clean and quiet, staff were great and looked after my gf requirements.

Ridiculous to only have one lift for customers and no stair access unless there is a fire!
