Bit of noise from the road but the room was at the back of the hotel, so not too intrusive

The room was a good size and the bed was really comfy. Food in the restaurant was reasonably priced and tasty. We only visited Arundel and its castle but I think the hotel is in an ideal situation for exploring the south coast and South Downs National Park

Not keen of breakfast, more the ingredients than how it was cooked. Some of the room had areas that hadn't been dusted for quite some time and had parts that were getting tired, such as sealant coming adrift and the bedside light shades hanging off..

    location and availability.

It was such a great hotel ... We only stayed at the White Swan for one evening and found it exceeded our expectations. We were greeted by very efficient staff throughout the whole hotel. Our room was very comfortable with twin beds and all the added trimmings of coffee, tea and biscuits. Free onsite parking and wifi. Make sure you have a meal in the restaurant and try the cold ales in the bar, you won't be disappointed. We would definitely stay here again.

The food. Particularly the breakfast. Previously this was never a problem however this time the food quality was disappointing. For example the eggs were undercooked (snotty) even after request was made for sunny side down.

The room and the staff. Clean rooms, good size and facilities. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

We walked from the hotel to Arundel through the woods as recommended by the staff. It was indeed a lovely way to go. However the directions we were given at the hotel were slightly confusing. Can we suggest a specific map for this walk.

Liked the quirkiness of it. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was bright and clean with a lovely view of the countryside. Food was lovely but a couple of times it was slow to arrive.

Not that I didn’t like the bathroom maybe just needed updating as bath rusty round the taps an toilet holder loose on the wall. Apart from this room was fine, beds were comfy.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was lovely. Excellent location for our visit to Goodwood Revival.

I was glad it was a hot day and ate outside, as the restaurant didn't look very inviting.

Room was a decent size and the interior looked good for a pub hotel. I liked having a bath. I ordered the chicken wings from the restaurant and I have to say they was really nice! crispy and good flavour.

Not enough room in the bathroom for towels or shelves for all the toiletries we had.

Breakfast and dinner were excellent. One of the party is a coeliac and the menu included a great deal of suitable food

Bathroom was a little small, only enough space for one person at a time. Shower head although on a hose was attached to the rail which meant that my wife wasn't able to clean as needed. The lighting wasn't suitably positioned to allow makeup to be applied.

Check in was simple and straightforward. Room was a good size, plenty of space to store clothes, suitcase and other bags. Bed was comfortable with a selection of additional pillows. Good stock of Tea and Coffee with plenty of milk cartons. Included breakfast provided plenty of options and was tasty.

There is only 1 thing & 1 thing only, which really does need sorting - Wi-Fi! May seem trivial but there is little to no connection any where, none in the room at all, which normally is not an issue as we all have 4g or 5g nowadays, but there is also little or no mobile data reception in the immediate area. So if you're listening @ The Swan, buy a few wifi boosters/extenders, cheap and have 100% happy guests

Lovely property & stay here, staff were fantastic from arrival to departure from the check in to the bar staff, restaurant and cleaners, all really friendly made us really welcome and our stay really enjoyable. Breakfast is good quality and freshly cooked to order with great choices other than the traditional fry up!, eggs benedict, american pancakes etc along with a basic continental selection, very dog friendly in the tiled part of the bar & restaurant. Restaurant menu is a bit limited but what we had was all superb, on the 3 times we ate there, including the Sunday carvery which is by far one of the best we have had. Perfect location to walk to Arundel in 20-30 minutes, and centrally located for Brighton, Worthing, Wittering, Chichester and many other great places to visit. Will definitely re-book next time we are in the area. Lovely grounds with lots of outside tables and sitting areas and beautifully kept.
