Room was on the small side and stair access was rather narrow for taking luggage.

Location was good and staff very helpful and friendly. breakfast good and service excellent.

Drink prices were on the high side (there are in pounds sterling, after all), and there was very little shelf space in the bathroom. I pack pretty tight, but I prefer to keep my stuff dry.

Pretty much everything. At the pub's suggestion, I kept the "big bag" downstairs (as did everyone else). The room was completely modern with A/C, comfy bed, and decently equipped bathroom.

The door that leads to the corridor where all the rooms are was right next to my room. That door kept getting slammed every time someone opened it so I was woken up at 7am by someone who kept slamming the door (probably taking bags out of their room)

The room was clean and you could tell it has been recently refurbished. The bed was very comfy. I especially loved the AC.

Stair to the rooms with no lifts was the only down fall, but the hotel and the setting was far more Important.

The only thing we didn’t like was the noise, this is a very busy part of town with quite a few pubs and bars, so the noise was quite loud into the early hours.

The location was great for us because we wanted to be close to St May’s Stadium. The room was clean, breakfast was lovely and the staff were all very friendly.

just one thing, I myself do have a problem with stairs but managed slowly and carefully, next time will ask for a lower floor

There are stairs, so only had small overnight case, this was heavy but staff so helpful so took to my room on second floor. I would not have liked to be on top floor

The location is ideal. The lounges, dining room and outside patio are very comfortable. The english breakfast is very authentic and hearty. Staff are amazing. Room is cozy and comfortable. I highly recommend the White Star as a place to stay for a very British experience.

The noise that comes through to my room from the bar and restaurant downstairs or from others on the same floor.

White star tavern had little an ample and wonderful collection of teas and artisan coffee in the rooms which made even more special with adequate amount of milk!

Nothing, all was great

Friendly staff and a cheerful check in. Breakfast was so delicious, the room was opulent and very clean. Can’t fault anything and the bathrobes and chocolates were most welcome. The decor is well thought out and colour schemes relaxing. We appreciated being able to leave our bags in the office for a couple of hours.

Lots of steep steps to our room on the top floor, but I will say it was worth the climb.

Amazing, really well decorated room lots of little extras. Fabulous breakfast with later than expected finish time.(Great when you've had a very late night) Loved the coffee!

We asked for directions to a nearby laundrette and ended up on a wild goose chase that resulted in frustration. It would be helpful for staff to be across this - but this was a minor hiccup.

We booked two rooms for a night before embarking on our cruise. The staff were warm and helpful, they really made us feel valued. The rooms were gorgeous and our inclusive breakfast was delicious. Late check out was accommodated with ease.
