We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

After 1st contact, the owner replied straight away, giving me excellent advice. Upon arrival, the room was ready and immaculate. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The place was lovely. The gardens are well kept and relaxing for an afternoon drink. Breakfast was fantastic. There is nothing too much trouble. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

United KingdomThe £20 cost added to the bill for having a dog is high and needs to be made clearer on Booking.com. A very small aubergine for main course at dinner. Breakfast a bit hit and miss. Make sure to ask for pastries that are on the menu.
Warm welcome and a decent size room with comfortable bed. Really dog friendly. Pleasant and relaxing setting. Good beer.

We had the barn owl room which had its own terrace- it was perfect in every way. The staff were friendly and we were made to feel so welcome; including our dog! The facilities in the room were of a high standard- everything had been thought of. The food at dinner and breakfast was excellent- we liked the extra sausage for our dog. I would highly recommend staying here.

United KingdomThe bathroom was rather ‘tired’ with lots of cracks in the toilet and sink. The shower tray had a lot of black mould in the corners which was rather off putting. It was perfectly functional but just not pristine. Needs some TLC. The restaurant food was great but we had cheese between the two of us which was really meagre for £16.95. Very small amount of cheese. Not great value.
Lovely location and everything looked great in the room when opening the bedroom door. Quite dramatic with the four poster bedposts! All facilities were there - kettle, tea, coffee, biscuits, water, fresh milk, hand soap and body wash, shampoo, conditioner, towels which smelled really clean and fresh. The food in the restaurant was very good and included some creative ideas which were great for us non-meat eaters.

Idyllic room round the back of the pub felt really quiet and private with a garden area and view of the forest. Pictures don’t do it justice, and staff were wonderful - going out of their way to make the stay special. Dinner and drinks were bought to the room and we ended up having all three meals onsite as the food was so good.

United KingdomThere wasn't really anything I didn't like, had to ask for milk for the tea and coffee facilities in the room but that was literally about it.
The food was absolutely delicious, the service really was very good. The rooms were super clean and comfortable. We slept like babies! - Would love to come back in the summer months as weather was poor but the pub and accommodation made up for that.
