The room we had was a bit small. It had a bucket chair that meant very little standing space but I appreciate if two people staying one may wish to use a chair. But if only staying a few nights it’s certainly not an issue. It may have been good to have net curtains on rooms over looked as we had to close the curtains which were black out and out the lights on to get dressed. Again no big deal.

There was not enough toiletries in the bathroom. No skin cream. No shower cap. There were no chest of drawers to put our clothes.

Our first night was in a standard room at the front of the hotel. The room wasn’t as we expected and was just about ok ish but the en-suite was absolutely terrible, dark, dinghy and old, not even a towel rail. Asked if we could change rooms, and were given a 100% better room in the adjoining building.

Great location, good food, clean, friendly staff and the outside bar area was a bonus

Not the best view from window. Also, bins being emptied out back of hotel, super early in morning wasn’t good, noise wise.

Excellent location. Within walking distance to central facilities. Ideal parking at back of hotel. Although chargeable at £15 per night the facility was very convenient.

Not that it’s any issue , but colour scheme in rooms were not as inviting , but they were clean and toilet fixtures , beds ect in good condition .

Booked a cozy room without reading the description properly. The cozy room was very cozy but that was our fault.

The toilet in our room did not flush well and created a problem :-( based on the room rate charged I would have expected better basic facilities.

The room and bed were very comfortable, with beautiful bed linen and pillows. The view out to the front street was nice and the location excellent for walking to local areas of interest. The restaurant and bar are fabulous with lots of variety of drinks and food. and the outside areas are lovely with all the flower baskets etc. On site parking was a bonus and the Sunday lunch was delicious :-)

I really did not like the repettive emails before the visit.

Loaction was great, parking. Great value for money. Staff were helpful, rrom was small but adequate.

The room was near to the pub and as it was a warm evening there was quite a bit of noise as people were seated outside. We had to close all the windows when it would have been nice to have some fresh air in the room.

Large room. The pub attached to the hotel provided good food. Nice location and easy access to the town.

The window of the cosy double has the kitchen extractor fan right outside. And I mean right outside. As it was a warm day the window was open when I arrived at 4pm with the fan making a fair amount of noise. When I returned to my room at around 10.30pm the fan was still going which would have made sleep difficult. I went to reception who made sure the fan was turned off as the kitchen was shut by then, but the fan comes on again early when breakfasts are being prepared. I only stayed a night so not a big issue, but if I'd booked for a few nights it would have been.

Nice hotel, helpful staff, decent and good value bar with good outside seating area for a summer evening. I was in the cosy double room, small with a 4ft bed but perfectly adequate for a single person, which had a nice bathroom with overhead shower. I didn't have the breakfast.

Room was far too hot no air conditioning was so uncomfortable at the price it charges should be better bar meals not verry appetising either need to review menu

Place is central but had to go to hospital as I fractured my arm wasn't keen on the man's frosty attitude to be honestvdidnt show much sympathy considering qe just got off a flight and was in a&e from 6oclock till 1am in the morning
