Due to staff shortages we were unable to eat in the evening at the inn. However the food at their sister Inn just a few miles away was excellent.

Excellent location and the room was very comfortable and tastefully designed. All staff were friendly & helpful.

It would have been nice if the pub was open after 9pm and they offered food

Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and really well and tastefully appointed. The bathroom was a fantastic size with seriously hot water! Lovely view. Good choice at breakfast and it was delicious.

Reduced winter hours was a shame but understandable.

Shame the kitchen was closed and pub hours were shortened, but otherwise, the room (7) was lovely, breakfasts tasty, staff excellent, and location great for Bath and countryside.

Sadly there was no chef for evening meals - but we were informed of this before we arrived. Transport was provided by the owner to their other pub where dinner was ok

Loved the bar with its open fire, our room was comfortable and clean. The location was quiet and close enough to the centre of Bath that it really did enable us to wind down.

The only point I didn't enjoy at all was the bed. Mattress (at least in room #1) is a trampoline disaster, I felt destroyed in the morning and also had neck pain after each of both nights I spent there. You'll also hear each step of your neighbours upstairs, but meaning the building age (18th century) it is expected. I would also prefer a good leaf tea and fresh coffee for breakfast, but it's just extra upon my personal preferences.

This is a very atmospheric and picturesque place. I enjoyed my stay here generally. Easy parking, just a step from rooms building and 2 steps from the pub building. 10 minutes drive to Bath (I used Charlotte Street car park £17 for 24h), 5 mins drive to some big supermarkets like Sainsbury's. The staff is super friendly and doing their best. Great location for some decent hiking, thought I skipped it because of the rainy weather, also note that the whole area is quite hilly. Breakfast was good as well, although there's temporarily no lunch and dinner so you'll have to find another place or order a delivery upon arrival. Extra point for a bath in the room, that was relaxing, also a point for some small treats and good water in the room.

Only that we couldn't stay for longer!

Rooms were amazing - clean, decorated to a high standard and had everything you need for a short stay. Staff provided another heater for the elderly person in our party within 5 minutes of asking. Rooms were lovely and warm, but she needed a little more heat. We ate in the pub restaurant the first evening - menu had plenty of variety and food was delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast menu was also amazing. Some rooms are on the ground floor but others have stairs so maybe best to request lower room if you have accessibility issues.

Everything about Wheelwrights was perfect. It was a fantastic find and I have been recommending it to friends and family since our return. The staff were unbelievably friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. We ate lunch and breakfast here and the food was excellent. Our room (No 1) was decorated to a high standard and was extremely cosy (the bed was soooo comfortable)! Can’t wait for our next visit
