I would like it if I had access to cutlery items like plates & spoons & glasses at night because when we brought takeway in hotel room, we didn't have any utensils to enjoy

The only thing that was a bit of a problem but would not put us off staying there again was that there was no lift and we were on the second floor. There were also steps at the entrance of the hotel.

Th staff were brilliant, nothing was too much for them and they were always readily available when required. The food was excellent . We had the full English breakfast and there was always a good variety to choose from. The location of the hgotel couldn't be much better, very central for , the beach, buses, shops etc.

The room was a bit on a smaller side especially the bathroom was tiny, but I did book the small double, so can't really complain especially since it had all the amenities it was meant to.

Best part about this place is no doubt the staff. We received great advice on activities around and were very well looked after! We accidentally left behind some personal belongings and they went above and beyond to make sure these were returned to us. Food was great, freshly cooked hot breakfast was a great way to start the day. Sunday roast was delicious and portions were great. I was concerned about some reviews saying it can be noisy during the night, but our room that was facing the courtyard of the pub had double windows installed, so we heard nothing with the windows closed.

My room was a little bit tired, heating seemed to be just off so no heated towel rail or no way to heat it I could see. Window broken in bathroom fixed with sellotape, blind in bathroom would not close by cords so needed to manually close and open by each slat. A gash in the bathroom flooring so obviously not ideal to clean. Light switch missing a cover but worked, electric heaters in room and one in a slightly awkward location to trip into. Nothing major but room was tired and needed things fixing

The decor is basic, but my room was very clean, and the communal breakfast and lounge rooms welcoming and bright. The very accomplished live jazz on a Tuesday evening in the bar was great, but you can hear the musicians through the whole building... it was over by 10pm though and I really enjoyed them!

A great little hotel, centrally located, but pleasantly quiet. My room was larger than expected and had a sea view, the bed was very comfortable, the shower excellent. Check-in/out is very relaxed, and all members of staff were friendly, helpful, and cheerful. I was also able to check-in early at no extra cost. Decent free wifi, and a good-sized tv in the room for days of typically Cornish weather. It's a short walk from the station, and there's a well-served bus-stop and taxi rank right outside.

The hotel was comfortable, clean and tidy. The staff were always wiling to help. Breakfast was excellent. All round made for a welcome stay.

Slightly cheap feeling curtains in room and some lumpy pillows were negatives... But overall we would rate the hotel highly because of the staff, the breakfasts, the pleasant reception area and the extremely convenient location. Parking has to be paid found and paid for independently, but a map of the local car parks is provided and £10.50 covered 24 hours (Apr 2024).

This hotel was great for our two night stay in St Ives. The central location was particularly convenient. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent - full English as an option or any variant, plus fruit, yoghurts etc and fresh coffee. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly both at check-in and at breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Decor was a bit tired. It was handy having the bar attached nextdoor but the Sunday night music session for would be musicians was a definite put off.

Staff really friendly and helpful and loved that the P&R bus from the main car park stopped outside. The breakfast was really good value for money, well cooked and nicely presented.
